man, Split/Second was one of the hypest racing games i've ever seen. i still remember the first time an airplane just crashes on the track.

Yeah, this racing game was sick! I used to play this and a similar racing game that came out around the same time called Blur (i wonder how many people remember that one). There doesn't seem to be many cool arcade racing games out these days though. The scene needs a huge revival.

Oh shit waddup. Love your Who Dat show. Anyways this game was obviously planned for a sequel by the ending scene of the game, but Black Rock Studios filed for bankruptcy and never made it sadly :( I also remember Blur. Tons of fun. I wish arcade racers were more popular.

Yes, sadly. like the wiki says "After finishing Episode 12, a cutscene is shown in which all powerplays in the city are activated by an unknown reason, and a black screen reading "To be continued..." appears. However, in May 2011, Eurogamer spoke to an anonymous source that confirmed Disney Interactive Studios had made a reduction at Black Rock Studio's workforce. Due to Disney's new management the game was cancelled in December 2010 despite attempts to fit with their new business model"

Guys guys guys... I know. I already know there was a planned sequel that got cancelled. I'm only saying that a sequel is something I *still* want someday. Hype has brought franchises back from the dead before, and a sliver of me hopes the same will happen here some day.

Disney interactive were in the process of making a sequel then cancelled it so I highly doubt that will happen :/ I'm sure a lot of people have forgotten about S/S by now :(

I have very fond memories of this game. There is smt really special about it that makes this game timeless. I cant bring myself to look at 7th gen racing games for how they started bragging with their "so realistic" graphics now that Driveclub exists. But split/second is like an old 2D fighter among old 3D fighters. Tge sprites dont lise their charme and even in the future it still looks and plays good in its own way (cant say that to early tekken). I have every achievement in this game played it a lot

Man, I played this beast of a game on the ps3. I aced the campaign mode with all 1st place. Especially with THE MOST ANGER-FROTHING, CHEAP A.I. EVER in the later parts of the game.

Man, I remember this game. it's a shame that Disney overlooked it and they're no longer in the game publishing business. The 7th Gen was when they were more open to new IP. This is what happens when you let the success of Toys-to-Life games go over your head.
