Hello sir , I have accidental small wound in my forehead , which leads to numbness in my upper scalp . The wound is not healing since 20 days after debribment . Doctors suggest skin grafting . I wanted to ask as my I have no sensation in my wound area , can skin graft be done on non sensation or numb wound ?

Hi , if there is any injury to superficial nerves ,then u will have numbness until the regeneration is completed. For the success of skin grafting blood supply is more important,so numbness is not a contraindication. If SSG is planned ,u may have exaggerated sensation on that area for some months post procedure due to nerve regeneration, which is also normal. So go ahead with skin Grafting ✌️✌️✌️👍🏼

Hello please I have a wound for about four months now very big it's healing fast but it's starting forming a big scar which is contracting so the doctors are saying they will debride the wound and Graft it pls can I go ahead

How long do you stay in the hospital for a skin graft surgery. I want to have it in 4 places. Scar revision didnt work

I have a wound on my foot it is healing what if I leave it like that will the skin come on its own or I have to undergo the same surgery?

Without examining i cannot comment on whether skin graft is needed or not. Superficial wounds might heal ,but takes around 2-4 weeks.

My friend met with an accident, he had fracture in his leg (above foot) he went through some surgery and plates have been inserted. I don't know if it's a plate it's like some hook visible in his foot... Will it be removed?? And he also has tissue damage so he's getting skin grafting... Will the wound heal? Can he able to walk again im so worried

Sir my wife had an skin grafting on her upper hand , as she had 2nd degree deep burn, sir i want to know how long does it take to recover for the grafting area on the upper hand?

Hi , it will take atleast 2-4 weeks for accepting and healing of the skin graft. If there is infection,then it may take longer.

Sir I have same ankle injury and skin grafting but I am not satisfai with grafting dad skin is comes around the grafting side what your suggestion

Good evening sir, after split skin Grafting there is chance of wound contraction and reduced sensation on the area , may be tats a reason for your dissatisfaction. But it won't be possible to give opinion without proper examination, please consult a nearby Plastic surgeon.

Sensation will be reduced over the graft area in SSG , that's a disadvantage of SSG in comparison with Thick skin graft and Flap procedures.
