Hey Al! That tables looks to work great for feeding the splitter. This video really caught my attention. The camera shots, transitions, and cuts were fantastic. See y'all soon!

Hi Bobby. I was sure I sent you a response but it’s says I didn’t. So if you get two your special. So thanks so much for watching and commenting. Also for the kind words. The table is awesome it will work for smaller box store splitters too. I made the table with a bunch of used lumber out of pocket 100.00. I have some videos showing me splitting popular last January. Thanks for watching.See you soon.

You did excellent Al! I’ve recently discovered that splitting is no easy task…the more you can do to save your back, the better! Not bending over is the best remedy, you’ve got a great set up there! Take care friend 😊

Thanks Karen. I appreciate you stopping in. I don’t cut and split close to what you and Phil do. I keep trying to keep the wood off the ground. Stop in again. Take care.

Nice table set up Allen. And the pickaroon is a great tool for saving the back. I have made four pickaroons. My back is not great either. Great system there. Have a great Friday. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋

Hi Noel, I haven’t received your sticker as of Friday am. How about you receiving our sticker? I need to make things that improve bending and lifting or I will be hurting for days. I also built a saw table that is 36 inches off the ground. I will be doing a video on that again soon. Thanks so much for stopping in and commenting. We really appreciate your support. You have a great weekend.

Just put it in the mail Tuesday Allen. I’d say you should have it mid to the end of next week. Checked my mail this morning. Not here yet. Have a great weekend Allen. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋

I really like how you set that table up to the log lift an it’s big enuf to load with the bucket . We have that tamarac up in the northern part of the state but none down here . Never tryed burning it but I might have to give it a try next winter .
@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewoodАй бұрын
What a privilege to have both Phil and Karen commenting. Thank you both. If I didn’t use my table I would pulling wood at ground level and you can only get 2-3 on the lift before they fall off. For myself it is so much easier to load rounds at 3 foot off the ground onto the lift plus I can put 6-8 pieces on the lift at a time without lifting them. I have learned it’s much easier to get the wood out of the box if you don’t heap it way high. Thanks for checking in Phil to watch and leave a comment. Just in case you might want to build one of those Club Dora Back Savers. They are 36 inches tall.4x8 box. Chute opening 22 inches wide. I’m not kidding they really save time and your back. Simple to build. With all the lumber you cut you could have one of those setup by the end of today.

Morning Mr Al , I like the table . I am thinking about building something like that but smaller to feed my splitter . See you very soon my friend .👍🏻🇺🇸🪵

Mr. Del how are you doing. I answered you 2 days ago but shows that I haven’t . So if you got 2 responses let me know. I appreciate all the support you have given us.Thank You . Anything to help stop all the bending, once you get that table in place you will wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. Hope to see you soon.

Frank nice to see you drop in to watch. Oh I work hard to take care of my back. You should build one of the boxes that I hold the rounds. You have Herbbie you can use him to put the rounds in and roll the rounds right on to your splitter. Thanks Frank and you also stay safe and have a great day. Al

Oooo you are definitely different😂. Just teasing buddy I agree 100% minimizing bending over you will get you many more miles on the body. You’re getting pretty good running that piece of equipment. Things are moving pretty quick, keep them thumbs out of the way😮
@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewoodАй бұрын
I honestly get plenty of bending even with all the assisting equipment. At least I don’t have to waddle to the house. If you start feeling tired quit and find something to do for 1/2 hour or so. We’re going to need to setup a go fund me page to get that electric brought in. Thanks for watching and stopping in. Take care Mr. Tom.
@fatefarmspaАй бұрын
@@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewood haha. I have complained to the electric company so much they sent out a different engineer to tell me there is good news and bad news. Good news is they said they should be able to knock $9000 off that price the bad news is I have to run another 200 and some feet of conduit pipe underground.🤦🏻♂️. because the previous design was too far away from the house. They were worried about voltage drop so that’s next on my list as soon as we get a break in the weather.
@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewoodАй бұрын
@@fatefarmspa ok let’s look at the positive. By running the 200+ of conduit you will need a pull rope and you’ll be able to pull it in 10 seconds according to the last video. If you could pick up another 10000000. Views that would be cool. Your engineer talked on voltage drop. What if they came back and told you the conduit wasn’t big enough to bump the wire size and you needed to put in a 4 inch conduit in that 600 ft. That would really suck. I’m assuming everything is aluminum wire. How big of service are you installing. 400 amp? Make sure you put in at least 3 RV plugs so people can stop by and spend a few days or months with you. I bet you are really happy to get all this free advice. RV plugs might not be a bad idea. You know if you build it they will come.

Hi Daniel. Thanks for stopping by. I have never burnt tamarack. I have been told blend it at no more than 25 percent. It burns super hot and can warp a stove if you’re not careful. That’s what I have heard. Nice to hear from you. Later my friend.

@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewoodАй бұрын
Hi Kenny.Great to hear from you. I have never burnt tamarack. First that I have cut and split too. All that I have heard is don’t burn it straight. Always mix the tamarack at 20-25 percent and don’t damper your stove. Check with your friend love to hear what he thinks. Kenny one thing that I was really surprised at was the moisture content. The tamarack logs were cut 3 years ago and were standing dead. Stacked in the open air to dry. When I cut them up to my surprise the center wood tested 30-35 percent moisture. I got out my second tester and results were the same. The small wood like less than 5 inch diameter did test in the low 20s. You take care. Al

really looks like nice splitting wood.
@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewoodАй бұрын
I really only ran into 4-5 pieces that had squirrelly knots. Tamaracks grow tight together so they don’t get Hugh. Brian I have to tell you this wood was dead when cut 3 years ago. I tested some and I couldn’t believe some was still 30-35 percent moisture. Some was in the lower 20s. I didn’t expect that high of moisture. Tamarack doesn’t rot like balsam fir. They use it for fence post. Later my friend. Thanks for watching.

@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewoodАй бұрын
Circle BMn. Thanks for stopping in . If you feel ok to answer this question? What area in Minnesota are you located? The only thing about tamarack is it burns really hot. I have talked to some guys that have burned it and they all say the same thing small amounts like 20-25 percent max and mix other wood with it. Like any wood you need to watch what you do. I burn a lot of balsam fir which burns hot to but I will never burn with a dampered stove . To much creosote build up unless it burning hot. Thanks for stopping by and see you on Back Forty tomorrow.

@@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewood Princeton MN here :) I see tamarack when I get closer to Duluth, but that's about it. We do have a fair bit of ironwood here that is up there on the BTU's

Tamarack isn't an easy wood generally to get to either, growing in the swamp. I believe it makes great lumber, I have also never messed with it
@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewoodАй бұрын
You are correct on growing in swamps. The wood I received was log rejects or overrun not enough for a load. It did come in log form that I picked up with my dump trailer. Thanks for watching. Hey do you have stickers for your channel. If so I would like to do a sticker swap. Let me know on the stickers.

@@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewood we normally burn pine (that's what we have) but when i get can find a tamarack i'll mix it with pine for a longer burn. straight tamarack i find harder to control the heat on my stove, but i do like it.

Hi Len. Thanks for stopping in and commenting. Without the Back Saving tools I think I would have to give up making firewood. The skid loader is most important. Lifting logs and lifting rounds into the round box I use to split helps me out a lot. Without the skid loader the saw table and the round table wouldn’t do me much good. Thanks again for watching. Did you ever received our sticker? If I remember correctly you were waiting for stickers? Sometimes I get people mixed up, so if I’m repeating myself I haven’t lost my mind. Thanks Len.
