Awesome tip! I always knew there had to be a way to split wood by doing what you did. Just didn't know the exact cuts and where to hit it. Cheers mate.

Wow that's great. And i have a question, I'm gonna begin camping and bushcraft. I have a full Tang knife 5 mm thick. I have a saw. Do i need to buy a hatchet for my backpack and camping or it's not needed?
