Is it possible to forward the logs collected through universal forwarder to the elasticsearch in a different machine.. ?

Hey, sorry for the delay. Well Splunk univesal forwarder will only forward the data to another splunk instance. Even Elasticsearch will only make pipelines to logstash instances. If you want to still forward logs, then its possible but you have to manually do the feeding. Install Splunk & Elasticsearch on the receiving machine and once logs are forwarded, you can maybe try indexing the data onto Elasticsearch manually. Hope this helps!

Thanks for video, thanks for being real. Your description at 19:03 is super helpful. Much of Splunk's documentation is so abstract and vague as to be near useless! When I write any type of doc, I start with examples, then build up from there to show the patterns.
