My son shoots a highly tricked out X-Macro Comp that I built for him for USPSA. He has very small hands and has difficulty holding the larger frame race guns. I used the Icarus Precision grip module, mcarbo trigger and mag release, SLR mag extensions, a ballistic advantage barrel, and I milled the slide to accept the Holosun Comp (big window) GDS. I'm working on a charging lever to put in place of the rear sight to assist with faster charging. I had heard about the rusting issues so I went ahead and Cerakoted the entire gun and all of the mags. No problem now. He has never had an issue with flash from the comp, even in low light shoots. I get the theory that the flash is going up however it doesn't effect his shooting one bit and he's a majority double alpha shooter for the most part. As for reliability he has about 7000 rounds through it and countless dryfire and (cool fire trainer) trigger pulls and so far so good with no issues. Because of the comp he's automatically in the Open Division so I'm trying to do everything I can to "race gun" this little Sig. He's currently ranked in B class but has been throwing some consistent A Class times down so it won't be much longer until he ranks up. Oh, and I forgot to mention, He's only 9 years old.

Sig is by far not my favorite. But the 365 series cannot be beat in my opinion because of their size to capacity ratio. I have a standard X-Macro and the standard P365, replaced all the modules and also got an XL module. Now I can make 5 firearms while owning 2. I love glocks but they are really missing the mark on carry guns. The 43X is not bad but I can almost double the capacity with the X-Macro and it’s more comfortable than a 19 with better capacity. And I agree very much with you on the factory mag issue in regards to the shield arms mags.

That's an older XL slide on a Macro lower...not technically an XMacro Tacops, but bascially close enough I guess.

That does have a milled slide, you lose the rear sight. My lgs has gen 4 G19 police turn ins for 389.99 is that a good deal?

Sigs are amazing. I have the comp version as my EDC. Shoots well, great capacity, low recoil. My finish is fine, haven't had problems with it. Had it 2 years. It's stock, but want to get a magwell.

I watch a lot of your videos and this is the first time I call bullshit. This is not an actual Tacops. This is an old XL slide on a macro frame and you actually complained about the finish. It's an old slide, of course the finish is worn. You complained about the barrel and I would guess the barrel is old too. All newer P365 slides you don't lose the rear sights when you remove the optic plate. I also wouldn't be shocked if that's an old P365 FCU. Sig also makes a magwell for the Macro frame that's probably more affordable than the Tyrant one. Just a little honesty can go a long way. Just saying.

I enjoy your reviews and your enthusiasm, but that's not an X Macro. And there is a substantive difference, as the X Macro is compensated.

Been wanting a new conceal carry and have been looking at the macro vs the shield plus. Macro has a decent trigger, fcu to make it customizable, and the comp def does help with recoil. On the other hand the shield plus has an amazing trigger, a great size and I’ve heard the recoil impulse is great. If you had to choose one, which one would you choose between those 2?

interesting how that you're trying pass that off as if it was purchased as a Xmacro. But from what i can tell that is a macro grip with an old XL slide. How I can tell is Sig didn't offer the Xmacro until after they changed their optics cuts on all their pistols. that slide has the old optics cut that took off the rear sights. the new cut keeps the rear sights on. Also I own a non comped macro and the slide only has the X notation on it not XL. I hope whoever you bought it from disclosed all that to ya. if not you bought a franken macro passed off as a OTB macro.

I don't see why a 45 degree port wouldn't blind you, but straight up and down ports would blind you. They flash is still directly in your line of sight. A blinding light doesn't need to be absolutely 0 degrees in the very center of your vision to blind you. Otherwise flash-bang grenades would be useless. (Does the "splitting" of the flash reduce blinding, because in the center the flash is all in one place, but with ports on the sides the flash is divided into two?)

The X and the X macro is this same weapon or is it different? My X is 12 rds flush. I want 17 rds or 21 rds. I have 15 rds mags. I never heard of this Macro When I bought my X

You have the 365 Tacops. Wilson Combat is my favorite replacement grip for that gun.

Those chunk ports are fine for longer barreled guns, 4”+. The exhaust gases are further away from the optic. V ports may be better for a smaller gun. Also, if you shoot from retention in a defensive encounter, those gases can literally blow up into your face.

I really like my Macro comp, feels like a perfect fit in my hand but i just don't tend to shoot it well so its not in my carry rotation (until i can get a dot for it) but i will say it hasn't had a malfunction out of the 1,675 rounds ive shot out of it

I got the same gun but I'd never did put a Magwell on it but I absolutely love this gun mind that's got the optic plate on top of it I got 3370 rounds through it and it has been absolutely flawless I carry it with the large backstrap it is so comfortable in my hand I got the Excel as well but I'm going to Frankenstein that I'm leaving my macro stock love it so much😂😂

The TACOPS EDITION is the best of the plastics for the money and the 4 magazines it comes with. The flared magazine well is able to be removed if not to your liking. As for the rust issue, its a non-issue. I've carried mine since September of last year for off duty carry. I have two other partners who also carry this. I've never had a rust issue, and neither have they. Everyone has their own idea of gun maintenance. Us being Cops go the extra mile maybe. The TACOPS is one if the best carry guns on the market, imho. Is it the best of the 365x macros? That title may go to the new Legion edition if yuo need metal. The TACOPS edition is Cop approved. Get yours.

I'm not a fan of any striker-fired pistol. The 226 X5 Legion is one of the best, Stacatto level.

I have a sig P 365X macro with original parts i’ve been shooting it for a year and a half now and I’ve never had any issues with smoke coming up blinding me nor does it get on my optic sorry that you are having those bad experiences.

I don’t trust Sig at all I have had one and it had many issues I will stick with Glock,Canik,Smiith and Wesson and Ruger.

I have been shooting comped handguns for many years and have never had the problems you are taking about, and by the way I own the Sig Comp-Marco and don't have a problem with the comp, nor do I have a problem with my Staccato XC which also has a comp. Not sure why you are having a problem, but maybe just maybe it's you and not the gun, just saying..

Just my opinion : they’re great looking guns but to me they have a junky feel to them and the slides always look scratched up in addition to the premium prices. Glock and Walther just have a better fit and finish.

That is not a complete x macro. Just the grip module. You're too obsessed with stumpy g 26.

I love the feel of the x macro but will never buy one. Seems no one ever talks about what a pathetic design they have to remove the back plate in order to remove the striker assembly to clean or repair. I remove about 3 x’s a year to do a thorough cleaning on my other striker fired pistols without destroying the unit. Once that sleeve is destroyed (about 3 removals) sig wont sell you just the crappy sleeve, they want to sell you a new striker assembly for about $60. Again, pathetic.

Sigs for their price are not worth it unless it’s the P226. I’m not a Glock fanboy but I’ll chose a Glock with its “outdated features” over a modern sig any day.

As much as I like the P365, I am not a fan of the XL or especially the X-Macro at all. I think the P365 does very well for what it was designed to do... but the bigger options just seem to not really do very much when there are many other guns in the same size and capacity (or better) to choose from... like the G43x (w/15rd mags). I think the P365XL has a longer barrel and may also shoot flatter though (and has a "better" trigger, but I actually prefer a heavier/longer trigger pull for CCW/EDC).

Thats a US Made gun..👎 ..only its german made with a DE Stamp..Austrian with AT Stamp...CH swiss made..any clone or outsourced european gun,are never that good like european made 🤔🇪🇺🇺🇸

I like the sig p365 models but I just can’t see me paying $800+ for a gun and having rust issues like that that’s unacceptable but I love the way they shoot. Awesome video as always and I hope u doing a review on the new sig p365 axg legion it’s a pricey firearm but it looks promising.
