"Children of the Sun" is a song by Thomas Bergersen. The track during Claire's portal scene and when Jim summoned the amulet in season 1 is "None Shall Live", the instrumental version of "Children of the Sun", which is also by Thomas Bergersen.

It never showed how he escaped or defeated 'Red Jim', it just kinda ended and then next episode he climbed out. I got a few theories but its all speculation at this point
