Don't put murals on city owned property that encourage our people to believe a certain way. Put the American flag or the city flag on the cross walk not a gay pride flag. Gay pride is a way of belief (I don't think we should outlaw gay marriage by the way go for it). It's like putting a christian cross or a picture of buddha on the cross walk. Just shouldn't be allowed. Even having "in God we trust" on our coins goes against freedom of belief I think. I'm a christian and this is a free country. Our city should not encourage us to believe a certain way. It's about governing and protecting us and making sure our system runs smoothly. We aren't Seattle Spokane and love everyone but that doesn't mean forcing people to think a certain way. If you want to put a gay pride flag on a privately owned business's building or a picture of something you believe in go for it! Just don't put it on city/state owned property. Goes against freedom of belief and isn't our governments place. The governments property is all of our property.

Why are we having a press conference about vandalism? Isn't Pride one of the deadly sins.. How about we all just try to be good people who accept others, without celebrating it.

and it's not about hate it's about putting an image where it shouldn't be. Stay in your place Spokane government. Let the people tell you what they believe or what on their own property.

Why are there Pride flags on the crosswalks but not USA flags? Maybe get a clue Spokane Gay Pride government.
