Yes Sir, we can say that... The Telugu meaning of this sentence is "నేను అనుకున్నాను కానీ వెళ్ళలేదు " I thought of but didn't do - నేను చేద్దామని ఆలోచించ /అనుకున్న కానీ చెయ్యలేదు I tried to but couldn't come - నేను ట్రై చేశాను కానీ రాలేకపోయాను....
