There's a lot of movesets that were shown off in this that easily reminded me of the original movie game. The attention to detail so far is just outstanding and I'm also very impressed of how well the graphics look. I'm definitely going to play this when it comes out!

There was a Battle for Bikini Bottom remake a few years ago that this is basically a sequel of, the way the original movie game was a pseudo-sequel to the original BFBB way back. I prefer the original, but I still recommend checking out Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated if just to see where this game will be coming from. I still prefer the original, but Rehydrated is a pretty good remake

@@Chronoflation I was already aware of Rehydrated's existence and have already played through 100% of it. I definitely agree in some instances that the original is superior, especially since I played it so much as a kid. But, it's still really fantastic and I already figured Cosmic Shake was following in the footsteps of it being a sort of sequel, like the original movie game was.

This looks like a pure love-letter to everything Spongebob wrapped up in a spiritual sequel to BfBB. Totally coral! Also, I love that the wild west level's theme is a western take on the Jelly Fish Fields theme.

I love how they built upon the combat to make it more in depth instead of just one attack you have. They also made the worlds more open and I am very open to that. Over all, loving how this game is looking so far!

Wow, finally a good looking spoongebob game with actually good gameplay mechanics, and huge original worlds inspired by the show. I feel the studio who made Rehydrated didn't have as much free liberty, because they had to remaster a game, but now they have free liberty to make a fully fleshed out sequel, and so far so good.

SpongeBob has a surprisingly good track record of video games. Of course there's some stinkers, but he has a hand full of great ones, and this is shaping up to be a great one.

I'm going to be honest here, there are a few quirks, such as characters not showing on a single frame (0:17), but this looks very promising overall. I see they improved upon the the weird character animations Rehydrated had and the view distance looks a lot better compared to Rehydrated as well. The level and enemy designs look pretty good as well. This might as well be a BFBB sequel a lot of us have been waiting for!

the sequel was technically the spongebob movie game since it was made by the same team and truth or square was released by the same team on wii

I am squealing with delight. The callbacks to BFBB, The move sets, also I LOVE how SpongeBob glides with the pizza box, very nice touch! If this was a sequel to BFBB, I would say they did a very nice job of being true to the formula. I’m very excited for this game and can’t wait for the release date!

I doubt the cartoon would get any better. This trailer alone, heck, Rehydrated's meh remake has more love in it than the show.
