Someone did a whole video essay on it but basically it's avoiding anything that would make this a nostalgic cashgrab, have the original Stephen Hillenburg involved, and have multiple artist write songs for this

@@ezelfrancisco1349 I think I have seen that video. I am unsure when Stephen passed away, but I do know that he never got to see the end result. They kept the Idea of it being something original. Not just money as the end goal.

it helps that the few things that are callbacks to the show are iconic (“my leg”, “is mayonnaise an instrument”, the dolphin swearing, etc)
