The very idea of collapse is silly, there's no reason to think that the reality we observe precludes the other possible outcomes

You don't have to throw out wave collapse to allow for the possibility of other outcomes being legitimate. The many worlds interpretation allows for both, no?

@@user-sw2eg9lg2t No collapse theories assume that only one outcome is realized. Thus, the other possible outcome does not occur in any world. Many Worlds says both outcomes are realized (in some reality). They are incompatible theories.
