The whole of 7.7 just shows that especially that part of the game needs decompression. Most 7.7's are super op in downtiers but in uptiers they face tanks with Stab, LRF, APFSDS and just suck.

The t54 is the shittiest tank ever. Constant uptiers fighting xm1s and the like. Slow and no traverse rate. Stock grind for it is horrible

Sabot can do a decent amount of damage... except when it doesn't. The worst thing about it is the inconsistency.

Unless it is Russian 125mm sabot, then it consistently does as much post-pen damage as an APHE shell...

@@jonathanoriley8260 Well that's dart sabot for 125mm. The only APDS that's around that caliber for Russians are 122 mm for the T-10M and SU-122-54 but you barely use the sabot anyway when you have APHE.

@@jonathanoriley8260when people say sabot, they usually mean APDS, ADFSDS is usually called discarding sabot. The Soviet 125mm never had sabot, APDS, but had discarding sabot, ADFSDS.

@@ethanedwards422 bro, both of them are discarding sabots, that's the DS part of APDS and APFSDS, you might also want to check the spelling since you wrote "ADFSDS" twice. APDS is typically called sabot since its sub-calibre shot counterpart APCR has no discarding sabot. APFSDS is usually just called APFSDS, but i've seen rarer cases of "rod penetrator" or "long penetrator" due to its shape

While I agree that the "skill bonus" is a good idea I really wished it rewarded things like fighting on/near caps or other helpful stuff insteed of just kills, best way to play game is to just ignore all objectives and try to get to spawn camping ASAP. Had a match the other day where a 4-man squad all in ELC's bushed to the max just flanked my team and sat so they could third person watch our spawn and farm >.>

I mean, if you are a good player like Spookston and get 10 kills, it is hard to argue that you didnt help your team. It´s always good to have one of those players on my team. Winning the match because they killed a third of the enemy team usually gets me more than the extra kill would anyway.

As an American main at 8.0 in the Tech tree, The Regular M60 is super underrated. It’s base sabot round can pen the front of a Maus turret, And with its good armor and speed, it’s a great multipurpose vehicle, being particularly good at flanking, sniping, and if used correctly, an extremely powerful brawler/cqc tank. The base sabot round also has awesome damage, Atleast in my experience.

Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has. I am not gonna surrender in proposing this. I AM NOT GONNA SURRENDER, BE CLEAR! (Day 105)

If you like HE Slingers, you ought to try the M109/M109A1, It’s new and is apparently 6.3 (Never mind the fact your fighting WWII tanks in a Coldwar Artillery), while it doesn’t have armor, it can overpressure everything, I’d think you would enjoy it.

Not really, as the name states the vehicle is just... EH. The gun is really powerful, but thats about it. Its slow, has no armor, the turret traverse and gun handling are atrocious, and the chassis is one of the wobbliest you can find in this game.

I disagree… The mobility is quite good imo, and in my recent time plying the tank I have actually bounced many of the shots I took close quarters… I think you may be mistaking the tank I meant for the weird new one, they added recently, in which case I would totally agree with you. I feel like solid shot AP somehow got WORSE after this update. I unlocked the cent mk3 for my brits last night, and it was PURE suffering. Had problems pennning leopard 1's if they were even SLIGHTLY angled. Switched back to US to test my theory. Also had pure suffering. Also 7.7 is a nightmare right now. A full uptier means you can go from having/fighting late WWII vehicles all the way up to fighting modern IFV's with scout drones and thermals.

I picked up the T54E1 during a sale after your video on it (with your link :) ) and I prefer using the Sabot. The spalling is pretty sad after the changes but the reload and practice can make up for it. The T54E2 is just sad

I also have the 54E1. Am also a dart sniffa. Once you know where ammo is/crew hurty most, you get more spalling than a heat jet and have the reload to go to the back up heat if need be

Try the Chi - Ha LG, yes, the funny cannon one. If a shot penetrates, which it usually does as tanks at 2.7 dont have much armor, it instantly overpressured the crew inside. Amazing vehicle, would recommend if it could pen a puma's mantlet

With what you said about 6.7 to 7.7 you should see what 5.7 is like with the jumbo 75 having to fight king tigers and jagdtigers because for some reason they brought it up to 5.7 and brought the Jagd down to 6.7

The Jumbo 75 is pure pain now. Every game I've played since it was moved to 5.7 has been a full up-tier. Only positive about it being at 5.7 is you can put it with the m18 in a line-up.

It reminds me of the M47 with the 90mm gun. Lackluster mobility, frontally penned by tanks 2 BRs lower than it, and relies on unreliable HEAT-FS as it's only functional round. Well the M47 has APHE for side shots and the T54E2 has APDS to shoot through cover, but mostly you just need to fire HEAT.

another day of asking for a video of the Stryker MGS because it is STUPID FUN being a goblin running around the edge of the map with it. Good thermals, good optics, and a Laser Rangefinder makes a good time. Also the M109 is a great time, it just crumps everything from the front with HE.

With the first minute of gamplay this is the experience for both tanks. Idk why but the post pen damage for both tanks is abbysmal. Even the AP round which should do more post pen damage seems to sometimes ghost through tanks without doing anything. The sabots shells mass is near identical to the m60s but that shell puts out much more consistent damage.

pancake tank next? it can lower its suspension, has a dozer blade, it can also raise a commander sight up using "turn radar on/off" though you cant fire from the commander sight.

Even at like a 1100 meter distance does centurion has enough penetration to just go straight through the side of the turret because it has like 150 something millimeters of armor

@spookston you should check out one of the us 105 guns on the abrams, xm-1, tts in this latest patch they nerfed the hell out of m735, us 9.0 is now pain
