Gajin literally added an AP missile shooter in a game where AP gets shafted. Which it would be nice to have a video talking about the difference in performance of AP, HE, HEAT, and APHE in wars.

Commander sight does help with the poor gun depression. You can hide completely behind cover and shoot the gun upwards and quickly turn off "commander fire mode" to increase the gun depression since it tracks from the commander sight too. It's still gimmicky but I made the gameplay much better. especially at long range since it does sorta have a minimum engagement distance. Another positive is that the commander sight is more stable than the actual gun so shooting on the move is pretty viable.

Other French tanks that might be interesting to play are the Lorraine tank (Lorraine 37l, Lorraine 40t, Lorraine CA) Good gun, questionable protection

Every SACLOS/beam riding missile in the game can get extra depression using binos. It doesn't help from close range but from afar you effectively have infinite depression as long as you keep LOS to your tank. You even get horizontal guidance beyond what your tank can normally turn to.

Something you can do with ATGM vehicles is just use the distance adjustment for the sight to bring it down far below the normal gun depression angles, it will still go to the center of the crosshair rather than the line of the barrel/launcher. It give you like 10-15 degrees more than default, in the case of the AMX-10M it's pretty much mandatory.

The French Ground tech tree is really really neglected . Just Look at the Leclercs there is soo many things wrong , but gaijin will not do anything about them just because the leclerc are Mostly played by high skilled players , because if you dont have high skill you wouldnt even be bothered by trying to play it.

It's sad because even if Gaijin made bigger maps that are more suited to ATGMs, the ATGM server accuracy bug would still make it impossible to use tank ATGMs at those ranges (T＿T)

Something that might make it easier to use, it has commander override on it. You can stick just barely over any ledge, spot targets through it and just fire into the air almost like a Swinger. Sucks at close range and anywhere with foliage, but it might make it easier to use.

I don’t really think the missile has bad damage. I just think you see a lot of super heavy’s in it.

Hello spookston, the French tank E.B.R (1951) is one of my favorite tanks. I feel quite comfortable playing with the fast one, and the option to identify enemies. Its only problem is the cannon and the little perforation it has, but I think on your part it could be a funny tank for a video

You can guide the missile lower than the guns depression by using binoculars, only problem is it requires line of sight from the gun. So on some maps you can sit behind a hill and fire from relative safety.

i feel like you would have a pretty good time with the Charioteer, high penetration, decent speed, and a pretty good turret rotation, but of course the shell doesn’t do that much damage but its pretty good.

Its still sitting at 6.7 and i played it a few times recently, it still is really good and the M82 shell (dont know if i got the name right) is almost a guaranteed one shot.

Hey spookston, you should try the AMX-50 TO90/930. Its got a 90mm with pretty good APHE pen, and it can pen Jumbo pershings frontally if you hit in the right spot

I wish the armor on the super Pershing was correct. It could stop a long 8.8cm shell from the front because of the add on armor. It would be nice if the armor could stop the shell or make it very hard to penetrate.

Another fun watch Spookston, I honestly thought that more French TDs were better than they actually are. But hey, I think it would be neat if you took your M36BT out for a drive.

You should play the M42 Contracero, it’s one of my favorite SPAA. The rounds have a tendency to go through places they should not, I’ve killed t34s and M4s from the front.

Fun fact, the mg32 on german tanks can also pen the AMX-10M right next to the gun shield

Try STB-1 next - nerfed to the ground yet still sits at 8.0

If you wanna play a fun casemate try the Strv 103 (I would say A is better for it's BR but C has APFSDS) or an interesting ATGM carrier try the Pbv 302 (BILL). The 302 isn't fantastic but it can be pretty fun to play, especially on the right map.

I think you can control the missile from the commander's sight and get better zoom, and I think the commander's sight is stabilised, but you still need the gunner's sight to have line of sight to the target and I'm pretty sure the missile still follows the gunners sight

so basically the French brought a WW1 tank into the table, added a better engine, a autocanon and a gun that can shoot atgms and called it a day.

I think its more of a playstyle issue than a tank issue with the 10M. Decent reload and a decent velocity all you really need.

You could try after that the amx 10 p, its almost the same, like dying very easiely, but its just in a lower br. Should be funny when you just start dying like in that thing.😅

i believe you can use the range adjustment to artificially get more range of depression as the etgm goes center of aim reticle, that way you may could get a few degre more

I find it strange that barrel fired ATGM does "the drop" when fired from a tube. I will point out somethings I noticed about this vehicle in the hangar. The gap in the breach area means if you get a kill by barrel stuffing the enemy you will more than likely perish simultaneously. The same is true if a team-mate has a significant emotional event such as an ammo rack detonation in close proximity to this tank.

I find this tank destroyer really fun, I call it the "anti-everything" because basically with the missile that cut throught armor like butter and the 20m autocannon turret, you can kill anything, from light tanks to heavy tanks, helicoes and planes. plus It have great mobility, and it is amphibious. The only downside for me is it's gun wich bounce as hell, the armor is ok for me because you can clearly say that this tank is focused on weaponry and not armor, another similiar french tank destroyer is the AMX-50 foch (cause it also have a great main armament, and a second turret) but this one has more of everything (great gun, ok mobility, great armor etc...)

might be crazy but i absolutely love this thing lol theres so many spots on every map you can just sightline watch and sling the missiles and 1 shot basically anything you hit

My issue with tanks that shoot only atgms is that while they normally have good pen they can sometimes be unreliable aswell as if both tanks see each other at the same time chances are there round will hit you befor you hit them

This is like when someone tries to make a tank, has all the components to make it work, makes it, don't do enough test runs and just call it there

8:16 Similar thing for all the m4a2 variants, the m36b2 and the m10. They all use the same diesel engine (wich is correctly modeled visually on all these tanks), but only the m10 uses a diesel engine sound. All the other tanks use the engine sound for the gasoline ford V8 that the m4a3 has.

and with the low armor it have even for the amx50 and lorraine 40t the addition of the m109 is pure pain especially when your shell kill half of the huge amount of crew inside that thing cross maping you

If I recall bs I've seen people do on AMX-30 ACRA once, the trick is to set the distance very high and thus force ATGM work in pseudo top attack mode by trying to return to beam. Same trick should work on AMX-10P since it's same ACRA ATGM, no?

Happy to see I'm not the only one living a nightmare in this tank! When I first tried it in the range, just before unlocking it, I saw myself having 100% skill bonus in every game with this massive 700mm penetration/90° ricochet ATGM Then I unlocked it and played it.............. You really well showed what is wrong in this tank. For me it's espacially the settling time that is atrocious. You cannot even fire at the precise time your barrel is on the enemy tank *while* settling because the missile will follow your sight, so you have to wait this full second for this gun to stop bouncing up and down... Most of my game, I die without even shooting! (ok, I'm also bad, but this tank doesn't help at all)
