Brandi, my MH has been at an all time low for quite some time now, and thankfully I’m starting to see light at the end of the tunnel, it’s a pin prick, by definitely there, and am thinking of doing something for Halloween 🎃 this year. Omg I love your channel. You’re my favorite and when I watch diy videos, I WATCH diy videos. I’ve seen tons. You’re so creative and so graceful. You’re so tidy and “neat” when you work. I’m a hands painted with 3 different colors, burning the crap out of my fingers, every single time I’m using a glue gun. Lol my 17 year said “mom you’re too hard on yourself. Stuff happens when they making something, they just don’t show it.” Lol

I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of the tips and tricks that I'm getting by watching your videos. With wreaths , yes. Also Bows. I am not the best bow maker. But! I'm always learning. When I had my boys I decided I wanted to deck out my Christmas presents, but I couldn't use small ribbons due to having cats. So I went with bigger ribbons. Boy was that a learning curve. Lol Anyway, every year I got better and better. Now it's something I absolutely look forward to doing during Christmas time. There's been many, a late Christmas night that I'd be up making bows for every Christmas present we'll into the night. My family looks at me like I'm nuts.. but I like that kinda thing. It adds to the Christmas magic. My boys are little and I don't always have time for my own interests. Regardless, I find my ways to get it in. And, I end up having some really cute pictures in the end.

I’ll tell you from my own experience that what they d,ont think about much now will be so special to them one day. The fact that you spend your time making unique, beautiful bows for their gifts will be a memory they will share years after you are gone. It’s a wonderful tradition and I love it!

@@MakingItMyOwn Your videos have inspired me so much and I am endeavoring to create two of my favorites - the vintage Halloween cat on the cone and the sweater pumpkins. I couldn't find a cat head so I’m making one using a styrofoam ball and air dry clay. Here’s how that went. Note, that I’ve never used this clay before. Sculpt the head until I’m satisfied )two hours later). Dry, it it cracked all over, sand, fill cracks and revise shape, dry, it cracked all over, sand, fill cracks, dry it cracked again, sand, fill cracks with spackle, dry, no cracks!, sand sand sand, painted black today. Loving it! Will finish painting in the next couple of days and send you a picture. The second project - inspired by the sweater pumpkin. Hmmm, don't have pumpkins or a sweater. Dollar Tree does not have pumpkins yet. Okay, I’ll look for an interesting crochet pattern, that will be similar to a sweater. I found one, and crocheted the pumpkin with great difficulty because I have a fused left thumb filled with painful arthritis. Not perfect but cute anyway. Used apple twigs wrapped in yarn for the stem. Curled pipe cleaner and leaf to be applied. Second, smaller pumpkin has been started. Yes, I’m a glutton for punishment. I will send you pictures. If nothing else, I am persistent, not an artist, just determined Do you remember the small half-bottle brush Christmas trees with the tiniest shiny bulbs that were made as a corsage? They were the delight of my childhood Christmas. I’m looking for those tiny ornaments now to make the trees. 😊
