my great grandfather from Ireland supposedly couldn't get enough of playing spoons, and I was taught too at a young age and you never forget how to do it and how it feels once you've learned. Watching this, I can see how much it bears resemblance to playing the bodhran drum. Not too dissimilar. Were the irish always known to be spoon players?
