A book telling me it's "true" is also not evidence of anything. In fact, books are literally nothing more than a series of claims. For anything in any book to be proven true would take replicable experimentation. You require nothing for your belief and that's on you. But no god, not the Jewish one, the Christian one, the Hindu ones, none of them has ever provided any evidence for their existence.
