Boohoo, it was for the best. IT wasn't gonna be the same player so Danny did the right thing by trading him. Besides them years with Kyrie, Boston has been doing good being consistent within the playoff picture and they also got 2 stars in Brown and Tatum

@@treypowell567 It ended up being a complete disaster. They made game 7 of the ECF without Kyrie. Kyrie also promised he would return to Boston and left instantly, when he came back the second season he choked to the Bucks in the 2nd round. IT was the most beloved Celtic I can remember and his career trajectory wouldn’t have declined if he wasn’t traded.

ive always had hard time grasping the concept of how they things are for some people, ive lived in same town my whole life, so for athletes how do they create a life for themselves, they have home and family friends , and they can just be forced to move to a place they dont even like ... and have start all over.. thats insanity to me... they have to make the distinction that these are real people, not video game characters or cards...

Before IT got traded, he told the Celtics to "back up the Brinks Truck". As a fan, the trade was sad but it was the right move. IT was very sub par on defense and wasnt worth locking up serious Cap space ... The NBA validated that quickly after IT left Boston. We hate Kyrie, but it was a respectable move on Ainges part to advance the franchise towards another ring.

When the trade is finalized there is 0 reason for the player to risk getting injured for a team hes no longer on. Its done for the benefit of both sides. injury would most likely void the trade and neither team wants that so they have to take them out. Its not classlessness, its unfortunate but makes complete sense

If its near the deadline they aren't going to sit a player and tell him "hey we are trying to trade you but not sure if the deal will go through". Yes the timing can suck but trades can happen mid game and get finalized during it. Nothing to do about it. If a trade was done before the game then there's no way the player would even start. Its all circumstance and clearly the deals weren't finalized until after the game had started.
