I used to go here and watch these type of races as a kid ...sitting in literally the same area. So cool to see it again. Just looks like everyday traffic now that I live in Pennsylvania

Good timing, good attention and no second guessing or hesitation. These are must haves for any racer, a figure 8 jockey doubly so.

I've been a fan of Figure 8 racing since 1970 at tracks like Sunshine Speedway, Golden Gate Speedway and DeSoto Speedway in Florida; Islip Speedway and Riverhead Raceway on Long Island; and others. Nice track you've got there, and this is some of the best Figure 8 racing I have ever seen. The 8 ball and #15 are clearly outclassed in this division but have the guts to race nonetheless. No yellow flags! Green to white to checker, non-stop action. I hope to make it to Indiana some day to see the 3-Hour World Championship Enduro, the greatest spectacle on the planet. Years ago , when I was racing a BSA, we had a promoter in Albuquerque that wanted us to race flat track bikes on a figure 8. He had NO takers.

I’m surprised these cars are this quick. Those humongous balls these guys have, has to add a lot of weight to them. 🤙

First thing i thought was man this is a horribly designed race. Way too many cars, too small of a track, and the figure 8 is super dangerous. After watching a few laps i cant get enough, this is amazing!

With those huge panels on each side I´d have MY car look like a Tie Fighter.....

Man the driver's are so cautious there maneuvering like fighter jets.

One of the most entertaining figure 8 races ever ! Can hardly believe there wasn't a wreck. I also was thinking the cops in that town must know that the best red-light runners in the country are on their watch ! How about the scoring..... that's almost as incredible.

Holy shit is this real? Being a Brit we don't have car racing that is anywhere even close to this - this is awesome 😂. I've never before seen a race like this with so many near misses crammed into it it is awesome. Man those drivers have some balls 😂

figure 8 madness this weekend 9-2-17 100 lap f8, Salem pure socks, Brownstown dirt cars, fwd. f8 28 laps , spectator drags, a great night of racing.

With those big cage-like things on the back... they should put a "spotter" up there and they have to finish the race along with the driver.. better yet, make them play a guitar. There'd be some Road Warrior-like footage for sure. lol Man! These guys are GOOD! Not near the carnage I expected with the speeds they going thru the X.

Announcer is alittle over his numbers on that horsepower rating. “250,000hp zooming to life”. Field of 23 cars that would make each car almost 11,000 hp when each car might have 400-600hp. So 9600 to 14000 hp zooming to life.

I've been looking for footage of "linked" figure 8 races.... each team is 2 cars CHAINED TOGETHER one behind the other. Front car steers, rear car drives. May just be a tiny Midwestern thing from a few (20+) years back.
