I have a Polaris Hawkeye 300. The standard muffler went under the water a little, stalls, installed a Chinese muffler from Aliexpress. With it, when the muffler is hidden under water, the engine does not stall.

Same issue with the water and back pressure. It fix the issue? As in long term in various situations like a soupy hole etc.

Yes, I have been rack deep in water, and some thick mud as well, as long as it’s not completely clogged (which could hurt any fourwheeler) the bike idles and runs perfect!

So this exhaust fixed the under water cut off problem? Mine runs like a turd under water

Yes, it idles with no issues. I’ve had the back rack completely submerged (check out the video on my channel) and it never cut off on me!

Damn she sounds good, can’t wait to get my pipe Friday. Under warranty for the next 3 years on my new 2021 so I’m not able to tune it. Figured this would be the perfect pipe. Make a little difference without a tuner at first?

Little more low end. tune helps with the top end a lot

Did you relocate the battery? If so where would be the best spot?

I haven’t yet, but I would like to relocate to under the seat as some previous Polaris ATVs have been to keep it out of the water! Relocation kits are around $80-100 dollars and most of them move the existing battery to under the seat!

I’m going to get a AGM Battery for mine when this original one craps out. Being so low and exposed I’m sure it won’t take long..

Silicone, but I believe OMC now offers gaskets for them, that’s the route I’d go if I had to do it again

I’ve rode it for 2-3 days so far everything is going great with the bike. No lean or rich issues that I have noticed!

Does that pipe and filter need a tuner to get it to its full potential? Any noticable power increase with the set up? Always thought you needed a fuel tuner when piping a quad. Thinking it would run to lean without one?. Good video! Thanks.

I noticed a increase In throttle response and possibly a slight increase in the low end! Gse markets the exhaust as not needing a tuner, the quad ran fine before the custom tune and I noticed no issues, I am now running a custom tune to get the full potential out of it and am pleased with the power it’s putting down now!

@@JayThompson25 thanks for the reply. I didn't want to dump another $289 into a tuner if I didn't have to. If a tuner would only possibly give me a couple of HP it's not worth the money. I'll just try the pipe and filter for now. I just wanted to be sure before I took a chance of damaging my brand new machine. I am just really looking for a little more power out of the hole and a little mid range power if I hit the throttle from a 30ish mph roll. Not expecting race quad results here. Just a small improvement from stock. Thanks again!

If you didn’t want/trust a tuner, a custom tune would be a good option as it changes multiple things on the machine rather than just afr’s! Just a thought for later down the road for your bike! It cost me $300 out the door which is what you’d most likely pay for the handheld optimizers, hope this helps!
