How you act while losing & being outplayed on court is the essence of what sportsmanship is about. What happen after the match doesn't matter as much. The on court antics are why You-Know-Who has never won the sportsmanship award. TennisTv knows this which is why they shadily created a video with that title. He's no longer scared of Alcaraz, so it's easy to be nice to the younger guy.

@@got2bjosh Nole doesn't care about that prize, all the players respect and respect him, he doesn't do any antics against them, a weak argument as usual. I see Nadal as much more fake and incorrect as he often won the prize.
@got2bjosh
@got2bjosh 4 ай бұрын
@@matteogreco1027 Lol, sure Jan. Who do you think decides the prize? The players tolerate You-Know-Who's megalomaniacal antics. No one tells the truth on camera but locker room & text chats are another story. They can't wait for him to leave the game. Enough already.
@matteogreco1027
@matteogreco1027 4 ай бұрын
@@got2bjosh And have you personally read the players' chats? Or do you read their minds? because all the younger ones talk about Djokovic as a source of inspiration and a person of great value, but on the other hand you prefer someone fake like the Spaniard who, when he has the opportunity, scolds Sonego at the net like a naughty child.

Who are these people saying Novak Djokovic shouldn't be included here? I've seen him applaud good shots by his opponents hundreds of times, even at crucial moments in the match. He also is one of the most gracious in defeat, always with a nice word at the net for his opponents. You don't have to like the guy, but come on, don't distort the truth because he sometimes has a petty or angry reaction as well, most players do, including most of the ones in this very video.

The war & the pressed Old World mentality created the chip on You-Know-Who's shoulder. Becker true to his criminal ways helped unleashed the toxic beast as his coach. If he wasn't a multi-millionaire tennis champion held up as a sporting god by lesser men groveling in awe (especially the middle aged commentators jealous of his longevity & fitness), he'd be a garden variety sociopath wreaking havoc in "regular" life reducing socialites & staffers to tears in his exhausting quest to achieve. You see it all the time in certain circles - business, finance, medicine, etc. Sports is no different. The outlet, however, is more constructive so the calculated antics are instead funneled into winning.

It’s so funny to read Djokovic’s fans. As soon as Federer and Nadal come on stage, you can see their jealousy and hatred. We can’t say anything about Federer and Nadal, otherwise we see their hate on KZfaq. I think the fact that Djokovic was #3 most of his career created an inexplicable hatred. What a sadness.

@@TTZhangJike #1 in what? He was #3 in all statistics possible until everyone aged. He was #3 in slams, Masters 1000, titles and a losing H2H to Rafa until 2015 (Rafa’s worst season ever). He chased them until the end to catch them at the end of their career. So, in what he was #1? He was winning a lot, just like Federer and Nadal. The difference with him is he continued winning old but the other 2 slowed down. That’s really what made the difference at the end.

And people complain when fans booed Djokovic. Nadal got hit by Norrie and his reaction was "it's ok np" Djokovic got hit accidentally by Norrie and the look in Djokovic's eyes were to kill. What an ass. The reactive response in tennis is so fast that hitting a player should always be dismissed as the only goal is to make the point. Nadal is always so respectful of others.
