Everybody at some point should ride a Sportster ,they are fun to ride and you can throw them around the twisties . I now ride my late wife"s with 1200 top end ,more than my big twin .

That's what I'm getting ready to do IV been riding my big ultra classic touring bike and I have street glide but mostly the ultra touring I ride daily and I ride it like dirt bike so yeah I'm ready for nice sportster to get around w some induro tires lol I'd also like to get are make myself a side cart so I can take one are 2 of my dogs with me , I live on Mexico side of border so it's much faster to cross border on motorcycle I only need room somewhere to pack 2 fifty pound bags of dog food and about 40 pounds of groceries. If I have a decent welder maybe I could design and make myself but lot my tools and machines been stolen I feed about 40 homeless abused dogs almost every night on streets Mexico but money is scarse

I love my 2001 1200. I may get a larger bike for more lebron when taking multiple day trips, but nothing beats the sportie for ripping around the state.

Sporties have come a long way in looks .I bought my first in 89(they were £4800 then new ) . My 2nd one around 95 i turned into a mini Fat Boy .People used to ask what model it was .I used to call it a Fatster.

Sportsters are great and full of character so don't even go near that tired old " Girls Bike " crap . However , there IS a tremendous difference between this and a Big Twin .
