While I don't own an Apex, I think this was a very helpful video. So many people have trouble setting this up. I even downloaded it in case I get one.

Got a controller a week ago. I'm still undecided on how I feel about my apex.. granted it has shown me that my salinity was/is on the lower side but my hydor ATO doesn't seem to work properly anymore with it being plugged into the system so I guess i will upgrade to the ATK and see how it plays out then but I do find myself checking in on the tank more frequently which is keeping me more engaged with my system so thats a bonus.

Hello Randy I want to set up my return pump to switch over to a back up return pump if said pump fails..Can you shed light on how to program my Apex to do this?

I’m adding a new apex to my system and wondering if I can connect my red dragon pumps to outlets 4 & 8 since before this used to be outlets for higher wattage equipments, but now I notice in this video that outlet #3 is for the return pump. Can you advise

What if you run out of Aquabus ports on the EB8? Can I dazy chain everything together? But if I do that then will it reduse the power going to all the modules

I am loving my apex 2016, that being said besides using my 24 volt one link for my Dos I am not using the accessory ports. It would be cool for you guys to show cool ideas of what the accessory ports can be used for to save standard outlet use. Just a thought...

Randy, I have been on the fence about buying an Apex. This video is almost convincing me I need to get one but I have a question about it. I have a RedSea Max S500 (T5 Light fixture set up). It has 3 recirculating pumps, 1 main return pump, 2 T5 light fixtures, 2 LED light fixtures (I removed the middle T5 light fixture and replaced it with LED's), 1 protein skimmer, 1 carbon reactor, 1 refugium LED light, 1 recirculating pump (small power head) for the refugium, 2 heaters (1 for redundancy). With that said, I have a total of 14 plug cords. This maybe a dumb question but I see that the energy bar only has 8 plug-ins. Would I have to purchase a second energy bar or what do you suggest to be able to cover all the power plug-in needs?

The salinity probe is impossible to calibrate. I have tried four different time since getting my apex and the probe will not calibrate. I've given up with it.

Hey Randy if I turn of the return pump but I want the skimmer to go off what I hVe to do for this to happen and am not talking about the feed mode , let’s say I turned off the return pump to check something inside. Thank you!

The “great” thing for me living in Norway, is that we get the EB6 - with none of the bells & whistles from your EB832. And despite this, it retails for $1.142,- 😫

gaz foskett yeah, the basic system already cost around 500usd, and then you have to may at least200usd per add on, they are coming up with a ca,mg, and alk reader and its going to cost another 500. Its just crazy how they want you to buy the basic system to be able to use all the other stuff,

yup way overpriced, tbh, neptune have been blinded by the market knowing they are the only ones with this kind of kit, however it would be a game changer if ecotech brought out a product that could compete with it, i use reeflink and find it great, just need more to add to it.
