Dragapult was one of my favorite Pokémon from SwSh. I can’t wait to play it… in a week when it’s available for coins. I’ll probably have to do a couple practice matches to play around with it I guess.

First! I took your advice on the Scyther with a rapid fire cloak and have been crushing ranked. Only issue is I get over confident and try to kill 4 people at once because it works sometimes lol. Keep it up I love the info and teaching!

The thing that matter for me is dragapult natural crit rate, if it high enough i think muscle, rapid scarf, and scope lens is my build. But if not high enough, i will replace scope with energy amp

First (Ignore the time of this message) Phantom Force and Energy Amp seems like a deadly duo. I know that's a move and an item, but if you get increased attack throughout the game just for having Phantom Force, and you pair that with Energy Amp which will almost constantly increase your attack because of how Dragapult's Unite Move works, that's pretty crazy. I don't fully know if that's how that'd work, but in theory it sounds OP; which I don't mean in a negative or positive way, just in an interested way.

Could this be the king the drain crown was meant for? Prolly not but seeing as dragon dance affects rapid fire scarf that means it should proc the crown right?

The counterargument would be that even with all the atk speed in the world, you still won't be dealing enough dmg to heal any significant amount. I personally do like drain crown as a way to stay alive for just a little bit longer, kinda like focus band kicks in only when you're about to die, except spammable b/c drain crown doesn't have an internal cooldown. But no, DC will remain the most hated item for a while.

I mean, Dragapult is very squishy itself, with low HP & low defenses. If it dives like that it probably dies too unless its uniting and has plenty of support.

It's a shame dragon dance can get canceled by cc, it's the only thing keeping it from being kinda good imo, should be unstoppable.

I do feel like the next inevitable update will be a nerf for phantom force and a buff for dragon dance. Ideally they'd make drag unstoppable for the duration of dance but realistically they are just going to reduce the cooldown like half a second.

Shadow ball sucks, misses more than it hits. Not to mention if you have attack based held items and have special attack lowered with emblems shadow ball won't do enough damage

Man another unofficial fossil Pokemon sweet it looks crazy wonder what dragon breath and shadow sneek do together kinda skiped on that info also with dragon dance I seen it leave a trail with dragon breath a good zone goal keeper kinda like charizard and fire blast looks awesome can't wait to use it I we it has a garchomp mechanic so another stab at what garchomp coulda been kinda sad about that but still it looks awesome now is it a speedster or attacker cause it looks to be either but ya looks intresting can't wait to buy him with coins in a week and see what they nearf with him giveing us true dracopult seriosly why spend gems early when you get it free later dosent make sence really.

Because the cooldown on dragon force resets with every KO, you need reliable executes. Dragon breath's burn deals more AOE dmg _over time_ but Shadow ball deals slightly more base damage, and *A* *_TON_* more bonus dmg (on marked enemies). Of course, you probably want to pick your 2nd move according to enemy comp & strategy. Thing is, in the current meta where no one wants to be tank, and everyone has a dash or eject or x speed or a get-away passive ability, so *most opponents you come up against are going to be more vulnerable to burst than to AOE.* Then again, you could run Force & Breath with Dreep as your execute move, but then you probably want to wait until you have 2 unites in reserve before you engage. As Spragels said, if you use your unite *_first_* to initiate, you proc your buddy barrier and energy amp. You can then do your moves, basic attacks, and then unite again for the kill. If this becomes the to-go combo, Y'ALL SAW IT HERE FIRST!!!!
