I stretch pantyhose over items (to make skins for animatronics) as a release for can foam. The foam/pantyhose peals off like velcro. (Dollar store pantyhose!) edit: oh I was wondering if your actors ever complain that this stuff gets too hot as it is instillation. I guess you could put air holes in the top.

I normally fill them with holes anywhere I can- this not really since so much of the head is exposed

Nice! My Napalm Charlie is done. Vietnam Airsoft event this weekend! I could not find the loctite foam. So I started the project with the ace hardware stuff. Finally found the good stuff and can confirm that it’s much better at curing and being manipulated. Thank you! Your the boss! Another great video ❤ I made a comment on your last video about using a foam gun and replacement cans. I dont know how much these guns are where you live but around my way they cost about $20 and the much larger replacement cans are around $6. Apart from long team cost saving you can adjust the flow from pencil thin to wrist size and as the nozzle seals, there is zero waste.

I think perhaps covering the foam in Saran Wrap then wetting the Saran Wrap would save you from having to mess with it. It would also save your form.
@StiltbeastStudios10 ай бұрын
I guess, but your sculpting ability would be limited by the cling wrap, you also need to make sure the foam gets enough water to skin. The form has been through much worse I assure you lol.

You are pioneering the use of expanding foam for all of us. It really is incredibly useful, and you've shown us many skills and tips, so us bozos don't mess up! I remember making some foam pumpkins a few years ago, unfortunately I was not aware of the stickiness of said foam, and, well, to cut a long story short, having used my bare hands to 'shape' some of it, and spraying the foam in a rather haphazard, care-free way, I was still picking bits of foam off of my hands and arms several weeks later. I guess it's a mistake you only make once. We have many brands of expanding foam here in the UK, but Loctite is unavailable (for some unknown reason). So I'll try a random brand to see what happens.
