Spray Gun Air Pressure Required To Spray Paint a Car (Hindi)

📖When I talk about air pressure, I don't mean air cap pressure. I am referring to air pressure at the neck of your spray gun dial when the trigger is pulled.
Let's get into it shall we?
High Volume Low Pressure Spray Gun (HVLP) Air Pressure Setting for Base Coat Clear Coat
When spraying base coat you want to spray at about 26-29 PSI. They way you read this is at your gun, trigger pulled air flowing through and your dial reading 26 psi.
When spraying clear coat I like to up the pressure 2-3 psi for a little more atomization and better flow out. Setting the air pressure to about 28-29 PSI for clear will ensure you having great flow out.
Most HVLP spray guns will use 10-14 SCFM at 40 psi. This is volume of air pressure per cubic foot.

bro i am planing to buy a 10 liters 1.5 hp compeessor , can i use for painting wall and cars?

NO, you will not be able to paint anything with that small compressor, go for minimum 50 litre compressor with 3hp motor, with which you can paint at least a bike(cannot paint car and walls). for car you need at least 200-240 litre with 5 hp motor.

Brother I need to paint high viscosity epoxy primers with base: hardener ratio as 3:1. Which hvlp gun and psi I need to set the gun with? And which gun tip is suitable?

Use a 1.8 tip spray gun, 24 psi, don’t use costly spray gun for primer because anyhow you will have to sand it flat.

the thing is the LVLP spray guns are harder to get now a days, they are little old fashioned now, because they waste lots of material, but if you have a small air compressor then these guns are good, both can give good finish for wood.

yes you can paint a single panel, but you can't paint the whole car.

Tell me how many litres the compressor is, how many HP motor and CFM of the compressor.

@@autospraypaintlearning 100 litres tank with 2hp motor. Capacity is 200 litres per minute, around 7 CFM.

you at least need 3 hp motor and 14 CFM to do painting, but since you are using a LVLP spray gun you can do paint job of a bike but for car it is definitely not enough. check the CFM requirements of the spray gun.
