Today we decided to spruce up the paintjobs on some of our gun stocks. We have done 4 different ones so far and each one has turned out pretty nice. It is really simple to do and is a cheap DIY little project.

Absolutely great clip guys well done and fantastic looking finishes too. Have you tried this process on wooden stocks ?

I haven't tried anything wooden yet, but curious to see how that would turn out now

I'm doing it as we speak..... I've found that gloss paints are not good for this process. I've cleaned off my last attempt and going to try again with Rustoulium satins. I tested red, white on pine....looks cool.

What kind of paint
@rodneydortch9060 Жыл бұрын
My question is what kind of prep work did you do before you dipped it
@12gauge44 Жыл бұрын
I just made sure it was clean and dry. A layer of primer wouldn't hurt, especially if it's a color in the pattern incase it misses some spots. This video is a few years old and they are still looking nice.

@@rodneydortch9060 I appreciate it. Let me know if you have any other questions and keep me updated on how you make out! I did my .223 this summer using paper towel and dabbing spray paint on it to create a different pattern. It came out super nice, I should have recorded it. Good luck!
