I think this was pine wood, Pine has a lot of small knots which sometimes makes it look a bit ugly on larger surfaces. If it would have been steam beech, maple, teak or ash wood then it would look way better naturally with a clear polish.

Did you sand & put primer or just directly spray paint ? I wanna also do this for my bookshelf

How many cans did you need?

I’d be curious to see or to know how long it last since you didn’t prep by sanding or priming. I have a huge armoire that I need to change. I can’t move it outside to sand. I don’t care about rolling it but I can’t spray-painted either. I’m just wanna know how this holds up over time. Well it’s been 10 months so you should have an update and let everybody know. Thank you.

Paint has come a long way there’s no need to sand unless bumpy .. and there’s no need for primer as it self priming . Years later since I posted this, the wardrobe is perfect.

Hi thank you , I did wipe down the day before, but no standing is required .. months later it is still perfect and a great finish. Such a quick and easy job . Right. If you want it to last must prime. Otherwise it will peel and look terrible in a few years.

I cleaned it but no primer amazing.. the paint is brilliant.. please read the pinned comment.. also you can use the link there for the paint I used , link may not work as KZfaq stopped links in shorts this year ..so you may have to write down the link , or take a screenshot then copy paste into web browser. Hi it was 2 -3 cans for x2 coats .. here is the paint I used amzn.to/3V7CnWC I originally purchased for the radiator, which did a fantastic job and reading the instructions it can be used on many different surfaces. So I did the wardrobe with great easy results and months later it’s still great 😊 happy painting

Not too much, really I sheeted up as much as possible but there was a new carpet and everything going in there so , the windows open .. Normally as a painting decorator i do primer and under coat and two top coats this was so quicker and that’s why I chose this option 🙂
