Jonathan ever consider challenging another group to a 1 day build ? Here in the rust belt we don't have any good pickings to do a build like this . But I am sure there are other in around the rust free areas that could find something to build up. then raffle off and give the proceeds to a charity , let people buy tickets to the build as well. It would be cool to see 5-10 of these going on at the same time and streemed simountainlessly . Either way looking foward to the next build ,you and you friends are good people, for thinking this up and helping people you don't know. Hope the 16 yr old keep it for a long time I would never sell it just to cool.

We have a few young ones around that are real interested, so maybe they will be building in a few years.

I stumbled on to you when I was looking at steam engines. But now you are off the dial, in my book. The wide range of stuff you are doing, the people you are bringing together, the passing on of these skills to the young ones. God love ya.

Hey Jonathan, I've been watching your videos for about a year to 18 months(2019 or 2020, can't really remember) and really enjoy them. I started going back through your older videos and really enjoy those too. Just thought I would drop you a note on this one and let you know how much they mean to me. Thanks again, Bart

I didnt know I was the only one who made car clocks! I make clocks with air cleaner lids and I use numbers off of junkyard car emblems. They look really cool. My first one was made with a Catalina air cleaner lid and since then I have made three more and sold two. I kept the first one.

+Mustie1 Yea paint looks great to me!! Front tires could be a little bigger, but 15" tires are hard to find. They came from the Honda that I installed the 6.2 in.

This is the right way to build a rat. They're supposed to be put together with parts that you gather up and can make fit. They're not supposed to be over-the-top gaudy or look so good they can be a hot rod. They're something unique, built almost from scratch, that have a genuinely rugged, tough, look to them. That's a true rat rod.

Nice !! A gift from a dad to his boy is awesome , especially one with this story , being a community build for a great reason , I am sure that by will enjoy this truck !!! Jonathan , I did check out BACA , a very worthwhile organization , those kids need them . What a wonderful idea you have by doing this for the kids . You all have big hearts , one of these days I will drive down from Ontario just to see this .Best built is tossing together what you have and what you can make fit . There is nothing like this in Ontario Canada. Keep it going , it's awesome stuff !!!!
@LarryDeSilva648 жыл бұрын
wow you had a great crew to work on that one day project. But you prepared for everything pretty well have the engine and trans ready to go as far as the donor vehicle. It still must have cost you some bucks to get everything together besides feed that mob you had but i can see you all had a great time. and how great was that Jessie was gonna give it to his 16 yr old son for his first truck that was awesome. thanks for sharing your time in your videos.
@jonathanw49428 жыл бұрын
+Larry De Silva It was not as bad as you might think. Shopped pretty hard for the new parts and bought most of them online. Went to the butcher shop and got 50 pounds of ground beef and 200 hot dogs. Food gets cheaper in bulk. Traded for many of the used parts and used some that I already had.It was worth every penny just for the fun. Most work was getting everything ready! Thanks for taking the time to watch!!
