Wind breaker and kaiju no.8 are both fantastic manga and their anime adaptations live up to what the manga has given us. I personally recommend them.

I heard from your podcast you dropped Loser Ranger but I highly recommend giving it another shot. If anything read the manga as the anime cut alot of pieces of dialogue and backstories of characters and rearranging certain events. It was probably done to speed through the arc they’re adapting to get to the more interesting and creative arcs. But what they’re adapting is still a good arc and the anime does well in its fights and presentation. So please give it another shot as the manga is definitely the most underrated New Gen out right now

Completely agree about faces and detail of their faces in Kaiju no 8. It’s like they rounded and softened all the faces while giving less details. It’s very uncanny valley. It’s like they blew the budget on animating and detailing EVERYTHING else while actively avoiding faces

I was pretty sure what to expect from the Hashira Training arc and I welcomed it because I know what the future brings. I needed this arc to be easy watching andgetting to know each Hashira better before the hard-hitting Infinity Castle arc starts. I'm okay with how the HTA turned out.

Sorry, wrong on Demon Slayer. Good storytelling involves slowing down to build up the next blockbuster. The other slayers needed more time to develop; otherwise, the next arch would be filled with holes.

I’m not even interested in Tokyo Revengers, and I wouldn’t even put on the videos of the anime reactors that I watch in the background, but I’m so glad that I gave Windbreaker the chance it more than deserved. However, I did notice that, for me, there is a bit of a lull, but at least, it doesn’t take two or three episodes to go over what I thought had already taken an episode to establish. Speaking of, i find it funny how I keep getting shorts and other videos of what’s in store for Rimuru and the gang, but so few actually interest me… kind of like the anime. Lastly, despite being someone who isn’t exactly the biggest fan of an action based anime suddenly putting on the breaks to devote several episodes than I think necessary for a training arc, I’ve actually been enjoying the Hashira training arc. The pacing has really been working for me. It’s established what Tanjiro will do, and we don’t spend long on every little thing he tries to do to complete it… if he even completes it at all in some cases. I do, however, understand how some can be disappointed that we aren’t really getting to know the rest of the Hashira as they expect, but because I read the manga, and I’m looking forward to the next arc, I’m fine with it. Right now, I just want to see if I’m right about what’s happening in the next episode or so, or if I’m remembering things wrong.

Slime Isekai's manga after the Walpurgis is basically a political shonen as of current publication. The light novel shows that after this manga arc things will blow up again, but this whole Tempest federation arc is super super slow, and it's not bad per se, just not first seasons' level.

You forgot to talk about the spice and wolf remake that has good animation, a funny story ,human charactes and stunnig desings

The first half of this season of Slime Isekai did the LN dirty because in the LN all the planning was done in a single chapter and then they moved on and everything else was done offscreen and we see the results like 2 volumes later

Stars and stripes was my favorite so far it hit hard in my opinion

I’ve honestly been enjoying Go Go loser ranger. The anime seems to run off assuming everyone watching has read the manga so they don’t really explain stuff well. A lot of the rangers become bigger POS than they currently are (red keeper mostly) but mostly the boss monsters are more like “the boys”, being “gods” but terrible monsters in reality

I have loved Demon Slayer's Hashira training arc. For me, Demon Salyer has always been carried by its characters. Yes, the animation is GORGEOUS (and it still is) but I've never been one to look at fights as the most important thing in a series, which I know is weird when watching a shonen. I have liked the scenes that the anime added, Giyu, Genya, and Muichiro have always been some of my favorite characters (second to Rengoku, ofc) and I have loved getting to see more of them. I like the break from action we're getting before the next arc shatters my soul with all of the death that happens in it. I tried watching the first 5 episodes (which is my normal trial run) of Wind Breaker. I enjoyed parts of it (mostly the characters) but the story just wasn't super interesting to me. The fight animation is ridiculous, but I just couldn't get into it. If you like it, that's awesome. I am freaking obsessed with Kaiju No. 8, I LOVE it. Hoshina is EASILY my favorite character (never watched AoT, so I don't know how similar he is to Levi). I don't read the manga so I don't know what the original character designs look like, but it's so good. For MHA, again, animation is not the main thing I look at so I haven't really noticed anything I did or didn't like. This last arc of MHA just isn't my favorite. I still love the series, but not as much as I used to. These are my opinions on the series I watched for spring.

As someone who watches Go go loser ranger, it’s not a masterpiece by any stretch but I think the fact you didn’t read the manga is hurting your ability to watch it. Every time I hear you talk about it you sound really confused and I think it’s because they generally answer your motivation questions except for one or two on the next episode or two. Ex: Red haired guy teams with him not because his parents were killed but because despite being saved by the blue ranger and feeling like the rangers are a good organization, his parents raised him to believe everyone can find a way to coexist and killing the monsters is wrong. Now while I agree that his parents deaths should have broken that, but it didn’t and as a result he befriended multiple monsters and wants the organization to form a similar belief as him that existence doesn’t = evil. That’s all from 1 episode, and shown more than told and why most cadets are at odds with him despite being so friendly

Bones doesn’t have enough animators dude. lol like there is actually a shortage of animators in Japan for the amount of shows they have running. So the reason that the Stars and Strips fight looked better than most of the season was probably cause they animated that first then everyone got tired as sick as time went on.

One problem i have with Bones anime adaptation of mha is THE FUCKING BLUE SKY! There's no way you are showing us some jaw dropping fights that are meant to keep you on the edge and THE SKY IS THIS HAPPY SUNNY CLEAR BLUE??!?! It ruins the mood COMPLETELY

I will be a firm supporter of go go loser ranger it’s a solid B or B- for me, the show has been great so I started to read the manga and its been a great time, idk what Nick was talking about with the story not making sense, it made sense to me and I’m invested in it

I feel episode 11 of kaiju no 8 fixed that animation on the faces Kafka definitely looks slightly different this episode compared to the first 10

I think you missed on demon slayer gyui opening up was character development I liked in a way naruto and iruka spent time together which was refreshing and the last two episodes that released I believe 8/9 on the stone hashira showed how he got his scar who he was as a person and sanami and snake dude were the only ones really skipped but they both haven’t had their character development part which I think will come through battle

Man, you have to give Slime Isiaki a little more time. Because the light novel is one of the best stories I've ever read. And it's currently at one of the slow parts of the story but it gets better from here
