Agree 100% on the bullet you are using... ive used .243 .270 7mm 30-30 with the Remington Core Lokt & REGARDLESS of what the HIGH END guys say they are as good of a hunting bullet that has EVER BEEN MADE.... I've seen the RESULTS since the Early 90's & i STRONGLY ENCOURAGE people to use the CORE LOKT

Your soft Jeremy lol. Mt house meals you can live off for weeks. Camping for a week or more isn't as hard as some of the hunting imo. I love camping and Im 100% with you on the weight thing. My first time backwoods camping for a week I took 52lbs. The next trip I took 23. Always be prepared but dont take nothing you dont need. Jet boil, UV pen to sterilize water, freeze dried food. Ultra light sleeping gear. Base layers and waterproof shell. Very little or no xtras. I enjoy the camping and adventure as much as the hunting

I would love to listen to some of your hunting stories. I have started writing in a journal of my stories just so my kids can read them after I'm gone. I never really thought much about doing that till my great passed away, and he always had astory to tell when i would see him...just wish i had something like that from him from when he was growing up with my grandpa..

You should starting telling stories of past kills with a picture of your kill, and or mount pictures. Reminds me of sitting around the camp fire at deer camp listening to the old guys tell stories. Make it a regular episode, you telling kill stores ! I really enjoyed it bud, happy hunting !

I would gladly listen to tales. I have enough stories written down for a book on just turkey hunts. We take spring trips every year, and we spend a lot of time around a campfire laughing at the stories we all have. But some of mine are just unbelievably wild. Turkey hunting with me is always an adventure from breaking my shoulder running one down to shooting one that flew off dead only to land dead as a hammer back at where I had originally set up on him. I told them I was tired and didn’t want to pack him back that far so I shot him so he would fly back to all my gear I had left by a tree.😂

Leica amplus 6 3x18x44mm Trijicon tenmile 4x24x50mm Zeiss V4 4x16x44mm Nightforce 5x20x56mm Leupold VX5 HD 3-15x44 . Huskemaw 4x16x42mm Any suggestion on a scope? I am going next spring. Either Idaho or Montana. I am loading up some Hornady ELD 162 gr m or x. Or 175 gr x.

I am taking off 14 days to bear hunt next spring. Are u going to carry a pistol for bears to? Planning on practice as much has I can. I am going to practice out to 600 yds. I want an exposed elevation turret. And a capped windage turret. On the new scope i buy. I am not going to carry a spotting scope. Going to buy a new set of Leupold binoculars. I have a pr of Nikon 10x42. I want a new pr of 12x50. I like the Leupold VX5 HD 3-15x44 with the wind plex reticle. Sometimes, try a box of the hornady eld x ammo. I like the Trijicon tenmile 4x24x50mm. And the Nightforce shv 5x20x56mm. For shooting longer distance. I like reloading ammo. Last fall squirrel season.. I loaded up 35 boxes of 410 ga 3 inch ammo. A bunch of 28 and 20 ga ammo to. I hope my new 280AI. Likes the ELD X 162 175gr . Or 180 gr m. Going to try some Nosler to. 168gr Accubond long range bullets to. Good luck.
