I love that you give them to the shelter instead of doing a blog sale or something along those lines. The girls and women at the shelter are definitley going to benefit from it, and maybe it will bring a little beautiful sunshine to their day ;)

if my husband had a problem with the color of my nail polish.... He'd just have to continue having a problem. I mean who needs approval from a husband about nail polish color.

i really liked your idea of donating these things to a ladies shelter/organization. That is really thoughtful and will come in handy for them.

To continue on. Not all of them are like that just the majority. I remember when the volunteers brought in boxes of beauty supplies some used a little or not at all, and we all sat on the floor going through them laughing, telling jokes, smelling perfumes,painting nails.. It was really fun, and the highlight of our night. So I cant tell you how much I love how sweet, and giving you are. And I really hope its going straight to those women/children because I remember how much it meant to me.

I absolutely LOVE that you use as many natural and organic products as you do. In the last 4 years I have become more aware of chemicals in products and have gone the same route as you. I have a 4 year old son and all his products are healthy, and he was the reason I decided to look more into ingredients than I previously had. There are many products I haven't switched to simply because I cannot afford to but I am anti-paraben, sulphate, phosphate, etc.

I'm really glad you did this. I have two children from the foster care system, they are little people, but I remember they came with literally the clothes on their backs. I'm sure it's often the same with older children/women who don't have a permanent home yet. I think this should be a tag video amongst the makeup/beauty product gurus. That would be really cool and a lot of people could benefit.

Oh coconut oil is awesome, it's like an all purpose product for me. I use it on my hair to infuse moisture, conditioning my nails, removing my eye makeup which also helps condition lashes. You can cook with it as well.

Thank you for donating to the shelters. I work with mentally ill teenage girls, and this is what I do also. You would be so surprised on how many parents do not bring their kids toiletries. They just dump of the kid and keep on going. Kids feel so good about themselves when they put on makeup or wash their hair with expensive shampoos and conditioners. It raises their self esteem also.

They did! I made sure to ask last time I was there delivering clothes and shoes. Definitely check with your shelters first regarding their donation policy.

No worries, there are no dumb questions sweets! It's just a personal goal I set for myself, I've been slowly switching to more natural skincare and body care products. I've found that petroleum based ingredients such as mineral oil appear to clog my pores and make me breakout. Although I've read on the Beauty Pedia website they say it doesn't, but I have to go with my instinct and my bodies reaction. :)

Just haircare, skincare, crystal cupcakes and brush holders went in a box. The majority of my makeup fits into my two sterilite drawers.

Check with them often, sometimes they just sell out, I know they carry a couple Queen Helene products, they should have the Mint Julep Mask. I believe I saw them on the bottom shelf of the skincare wall. Otherwise Down to Earth in Kahului usually has it in stock.

I hear ya! It's so confusing because on the Beauty Pedia website they say mineral oil and petrolatum doesn't clog pores and is a non-irritant. But I gotta listen to my body and I swear those ingredients clog my pores, petroleum based ingredients do not get along with my skin.

Hi! It's an Essential Home Glass 3 Shelf Vanity Organizer, Nickel Finish. I purchased two at Kmart. They're awesome! I think they have them online as well. Boscia is my favorite skincare brand at Sephora I've used their products for a couple years now. Only recently have I put them on hold to explore other less expensive natural skincare options. I talk a lot about them in my Holy Grail Skin Care Products video. :)

The white drawers are two Sterilite 3-drawer organizers from Walmart. :)

I actually thought it felt great, but people kept telling me to stop using it because apparently it contains rough or jagged exfoliants that can damage your skin. I honestly can't confirm if that's fact or not, but it scared me away from it, so now I'm testing a few new scrubs.

It does kind of look like a lot, so I was super happy to downsize. I also save all my skincare boxes to refer back to the ingredients and product info, which makes it look like double the amount lol.

Good question! Hmm... well I paid $39 for the set but now it's on sale for $23 so that's a much better price. While I like a couple of the face brushes, the eye brushes I do not. I think the company is cool and I've heard they've come out with some great brushes, But these aren't them. My fault for choosing the set I did... but I was determined to have pink brushes lol, Thank goodness for Sedona Lace!!
