I live on the water in both of my homes in the Florida Keys and in Northern Michigan. Those of us who live in coastal areas have been dressing in the coastal casual style long before the fashion industry gave it the cringe-worthy name of “Coastal Grandmother” and “Coastal Granddaughter”.
The coastal casual aesthetic is the epitome of effortless style: easy and breezy yet sophisticated, perfect for a walk on the beach, a soothing afternoon sail, or a dockside dinner with family and friends. This is my style and I plan to replicate a few of the looks you've put together here. I can shop my closet for most of them since these are staples in my wardrobe. I guess because I'm a grandma I don't mind everyone calling it "Coastal Grandma" LOL. Grandmas are older, wiser, and more comfortable in their own skin and wear what they like and feel good in. Natural fabrics are the way to go, especially in hot, humid weather like the Florida Keys. We love it there. I see your channel growing and growing.

Can’t thank you enough for this. Fortunately I already have quite a few of these comfortable yet classic pieces. Seeing them on you affirms just how classic and modern they are. I’ve ordered new items and in multiple colors (some on back order). We’ve got to be creative to dress well in the South especially as we grow older and are not as confident showing parts that were once just fine. That said I try to live by not being sad that anything is over but instead be grateful and happy that it once was. Keep the cool, breezy summer looks coming. Thank you again.

I totally hear you on this. I try to embrace and celebrate the body I have *now*...not the one I had twenty years ago. Where do you live in the South? I am originally from Atlanta but finished high school in Alabama.

@@midlifeposhcloset FL a tiny coastal town known as “Delightful Dunedin.” We travel much of the year these days though. Sometimes just to escape the summer heat or in winter we head to the Keys.

I've been dressing Cape Cod Coastal Casual. since birth...lol. Most recently, I added Tampa area Coastal Casual. I do add more color in summer. Lily Pulitzer, madras plaid, gingham check...etc. Lovely video.⛱️

Great video as usual! Regarding the loafers, do you have them in two different colors? I think one of the colors is Cream Leather, but seems you have a slightly darker one which I would love to purchase as well - - - is it Gold Leather or Sand Suede, perhaps?
