Spring Nature Trail to John Rock - our FAVORITE new hike! Asheville Vlog

Today we're going on a fun hike! This hike is filled with so much spring nature! So many spring flowers, new growth, and leafy-ness all over! We stop by a magical waterfall, cross cute foot bridges (that get more and more primitive the further along we go!), and make our way up the trail to the top of the mountain: John Rock! This hike was so diverse and beautiful - it's now a favorite of ours! We got a lot out of it - Nature Therapy, Forest Bathing, Exercise, it was fantastic! This video is for you if you like positivity, chill vibes, fun, and having a good time!
Location:
Pisgah National Forest Ranger District (entrance just a few miles north of Brevard, NC). Take 276 to Fish Hatchery Road. Turn left onto Fish Hatchery Lane and park in the lot.
Take Cat Gap Loop trail to John Rock trail to the top of the mountain!

Those “umbrella” plants are called Mayapples. Not all of them will produce flowers. I just learned about it when i saw them growing on my property in Sylva (Jackson County).

Love those Fiddleheads! Don’t forget to check out adorable Highlands, NC, sometime. Sara, the spicy Chai Latte at Calder’s Coffee Shop is the best I’ve had anywhere.

Pink flowers are Trillium flowers. Only reason I know this is that my wife and I bought land on road to be called Trillium Garden Trail.

I want to applaud Kurt for the 'spiderweb de-activator' because I've done that more times than i can count. Great to see a new upload from you guys. About 28 days for us to get up there, so this really psyched me up! Cheers guys
