Very clear explanation. You explained many of the "what the f is that thing" that arises naturally when following a tutorial. Most people skip explanations but you explained exactly what was needed for a beginner!

Official Spring guides and then Spring reference. There are plenty of good books about Spring - I am sure you'll find one that suits you.
