65% bourbon 35% sherry in the 2022 release Gav. the 2021 was 50/50. The 2022 has some hay/meadow notes, also almost perfumy orange citrus or rind notes along with typical fleshy fruits (peach/apricot/mango). Sherry notes were there but subdued and a sweet and sour contrast

for a small self funded channel - you are probably the bravest one in the WORLD for opening and of course drinking really expensive whiskys , of course their is always a faster gun but few put their money where their mouth is and actually open on air and sip 30 year old campbeltown ;;;;;

Great review Gav I recently tried the 2022 SB18 at the washback bar and I can say it was absolutely superb. I picked up on a slight menthol almost liquorice note that really added character and flavour. Cheers mate and I would love to know how that bottle develops as you get past the shoulder. 🥃

thats at least 8 units , - you see a 25ml dram in the pub and it barely covers the glass bottom ;;;

I am in the Springbank Society and the cadenheads club I do most of my buying from the Cadenheads shop in Edinburgh

@@gavsdrams Cheers for that mate. Unfortunately I was just a wee bit too late to the party to sign up to the society. Wished I hadn't but hey ho. Coincidentally Cadenhead Edinburgh is my "local" some 250miles away in Lancashire. Up there and Glasgow quite regularly which is nice. Just picked up the 13yr Ruby Port Dailuaine and Bunna 12 off your recent reviews. (from the London shop) Andrew at the campbeltown shop recommended the Dailuaine whilst up there a few weeks ago but you sealed the deal with the review. 👍
