He is definitely not throwing Sasha under the bus. Le Roux is the team’s play maker. He reads the game and adjusts the teams tactics in game. He is the best in the world at it. That’s why the Springboks were a complete mess when he left the field. A lot of South Africans don’t understand his roll on the field. He is not just a fullback. What Rassie is saying is that Sasha is not capable of that just yet, he needs time to learn the Bok system. Trust the system. It’s won us 2x world cups.

@@ktm690endurorally I mean obviously not, first half performance was very dire and the Irish came firing on all cylinders. But what is very clear to me is that the boys are in the middle of learning Tony browns new attacking system, it being only 2 test matches in is not going to be flawless, there's still alot of cohesion to be had in the attack. If we had played the Nienaber type style from the world cup we probably would have won. But fair play to Ireland, they thoroughly deserved the win, we will just have to get them next time. I don't think 1 test match makes a team, and you can't expect to win every match, I think the fact that we only lost that match by 1 point is a testament to how strong of a side we still are.

@@AjaySalmon very true words, I think what gets me to my thinking is that Ireland made their points. We could only score from penalties that they conceded…. Last week we scored 2 opportunistic tries also from their mistakes, so over two matches only 7 points were scored by the Boks from actual play. So even though it’s 1 point tonight, over the two games Ireland was allot more capable of creating a win and playing the much smarter and more capable rugby. It sucks to realize that we have the World Cup but only the 3rd game into the season we already could not cement that win at home against a weakened Ireland side that was still down to 14 men at a stage

@@ktm690endurorally I have to agree with that, I couldn't believe we didn't score a single try. That's something that needs to be looked at, we had so many opportunities that just didn't bear any fruit. Winning games by kicking penalties isn't a long term solution, if your side can't score tries they cannot win. But I do have faith in the boys that they'll get it right, just a matter of time, they didn't win the 2 world cups on luck, they grafted, they need to keep grafting.
