Springbuck hunting at its best!

Күн бұрынIn July 2022 we went on a hunting safari to hunt some springbuck in Graaff Reinet. We shot 51 springbucks in 3 days and had a heap of fun while in the karoo! This video is some of my footage that was taken with my Triggercam 2.1 as you would see this was my first time using it and the focus was a bit of an issue. I initially set up to shoot a specific distance but as we know #hunting seldom goes according to plan!
I shot my #howa 6.5Creedmoor and my Howa 223 during this hunt. On my 6.5 CM, I have a Vortex Venom scope and on my 223 I have the SouthPoint #optics HR6 #scope.

How well do you like your TriggerCam? I just bought one, but it's backordered. It seemed to be the best choice out there after going through hours and hours of use and review videos and peer review articles.

By far the best option! It works well and works every time(if you press the right button haha) but without a doubt a good buy!

Jag ook springbok met Howa 6.5CM. Ek neem aan dit is voorsit jag….is daardie 483m skoot uit n skietstoel geskiet?

Dit was n onbeplande voorsit jag, ek het daar afgeklim en daar gelê met die hoop dat hulle na die hoek toe kom as die ander manne skiet. Daai skoot was van die lê posisie af met 'n bipod

Baie dankie! Ek skiet 55gr Vmax punte, het altyd Varget geskiet maar ek geniet skiet TEVEEL so dit raak duur hahaha. Ek is nou op S335 en dit skiet net so goed.

Were you dialing? What was your rifle zeroed at?

Yes dailed for all the distances using a Kestrel. Zero was at 100m

Why didnt you hunt with the southpoint scope?

I did in the beginning, unfortunately the avg wind on the days were around 12 to 15mph and I wasn't confident at those long range woth that wind on a 223. I have to say that the SouthPoint scope honestly impressed me. If I had to compare the Venom to the HR6..... HR6 hands down.

@@hanrunel1552 ek weet die boer vat net 5 of 6 groepe vor die jaar, so die bokke is nie te wild geskiet nie en daar is n paar monsters wat daar rondloop.
