It's March and it's heating up out here! Perfect time to check out the desert wildflowers, and chill out by the water. I've got some new warm weather gear to try out, including a tailgate tent and a compact beach grill.
On the menu: shrimp tacos and margaritas, pieiron pizookie with ice cream, and breakfast tacos.
I'll be releasing a more detailed video about the tent, shade, and some other gear in the near future.

What a lovely video. You are inspiring me to want to do this type of camping. You are so clever and creative in making a cozy environment. So many great tips on how to make a comfortable experience. I love the Cairns and rock hunting! I especially appreciate that you do some clean up work as well. I find it absolutely unfathomable that people go to beautiful, pristine places and trash them up!

Thank you for picking up that trash! Why people think it is easier to carry 8:32 something full and trash the empties later, leaving pollution is beyond me! They do that along the AuSable River all the time leaving messes for the locals!! So rude of people! Love that you care❤️🎉🥳

@ShoestringMartha
@ShoestringMartha 2 жыл бұрын
I've taken it on 3 or 4 trips now, and I am a fan - totally adequate for my needs. Enough juice, and re-charges fast. Next trip is a two-nighter, so I'll have to test recharging it on the road. Trying to decide what to add to it -- a solar panel or just a spare battery (which was a selling point when I chose the EcoFlow).

I'm sure in some past video you answered this question, but I'm new and have watched about 6 so far and still want to know... what container are you using to make the ice cream?
@ShoestringMartha

It's a little metal canister for my shotglasses, inside a french press. It just needs to be something with a tight lid, inside something else, with enough room for ice all around.

Bob Marley's greatest hits for a couple hours -- could have been worse I guess -- but I would much rather listen to the rippling water, crickets and frogs whirring, and evening birdsong. For sure it's a thirsty ride. I am lucky that I work from home, so my mileage is just a couple miles to the store, weekly. Camping trips are only once a month, and I keep them under 2 hours away. So the gas budget doesn't hit me too hard.

@ShoestringMartha
@ShoestringMartha 20 күн бұрын
The 4Runner has switches on every interior light that I have turned off. There is still a warning light on the dash, but it doesn't draw enough juice to affect the battery much. Some folks do the carabiner trick with the latch, but I haven't had the need.

Hi Shoestring. I saw at the end of the video you unplugged a power adapter from the side of the Ecoflow. Couldn’t you have simply plug the wire into one of the USB ports on the front of the Exoflow? Using the AC inverter will draw more power from the battery.

Hello. I want to buy the Walmart crash pad but the description at their website tells me it’s only 2” thick. Yours appears to be 4”. What do you believe the true thickness is? Also, what’s inside? Is it a foam pad or a combination foam/fiber fill? Again, the website isn’t revealing this info. Appreciate your channel.
@ShoestringMartha
@ShoestringMartha 2 жыл бұрын
It is absolutely larger than described. 4" thick and also wider. I give the specs over in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oblgast4pp6zfpc.html I am not sure what's inside. There's no label, and I threw out the wrapper that it came in. I don't think it's just foam. If I had to guess by feel, I'd wager it's a combo of foam and fiber. Totally a guess though.
