Piaget's theory argues that we have to conquer 4 stages of cognitive development. Only once we have gone through all the stages, at what age can vary, we are able to reach full human intelligence.

The “why” stage is my favorite. When my little cousins go through it, I try my best to answer their questions as accurately as I can. I don’t know if it truly helps them, but I love it. I remember when I explained that trees grow from seeds and my little cousins touches a small pine and says, “it’s a baby?” It was so sweet.

I believe that everyone has a particular pace in development. It has been proven that we have different brains that operates uniquely to us, therefore, some might develop faster than other , some may develop slower . The important thing about this is no matter how fast or slow a person develops , they will all undergo the same stages.

"Does everyone have a particular pace in development?" -In my opinion, yes because we take up lessons, things, learnings and new stuffs differently and also apply it on ourselves or our own lives as we realize or understand that this can help us in such specific situation/s or pick out as we decide if should we do this instead of that when we are in the middle of making decisions. And most importantly as we all know or are aware of there are people who are categorized or considered as a fast learner or a slow learner. And even in some case some get their development stunted together with some disorder like people with special needs that also comes with different types and as to what I am talking about, I meant those that causes physical and mental developmental delays and disabilities like down syndrome. Either ways, however it goes with the individual, there's nothing to be ashamed/pressured about. Everyone should take their time and respect everyone's pace.

Yes, this is very true. Everyone has their own pace in development since not all of us have the same experiences in life, not all have a childhood appropriate for learning and adapting. That's why some of us grow differently. There are many factors for that, and one would be our families. They affect us, the things they can say can be implanted in our minds as we grow. So if there are rejection signs, it would result in unpleasant behaviors when we're slowly growing in our Formal Operational Stage.

@@@sprouts I'm an aspiring manga author/mangaka (Japanese comics maker either as the author or as both author and artist). I just feel that the bulk of works made all share the same philosophy - a Japanese Shinto/Buddhist culture; I feel like I can tell a more interesting story in that medium if I get proficient enough with writing. That's why I'm trying to learn a lot about psychology, culture and philosophy. I still find the medium to be extremely interesting and enjoyable even with the flaws I notice, so it's not that I think it's all bad. I've just read so much and have yet to get that one story with the philosophy I'm interested in. That philosophy is true Ayn Randian Objectivism btw (I mentioned it in passing in other comments on your videos so I won't get into that)

I don' think kids are usually presented with political issues, but maybe if they were they could begin to problem solve. I think kids usually think primarily in the way of the stage they are in, so sensorimotor (1) are more interested in using their senses to figure out their environment, preoperational (2) begin to think symbolically, concrete operational (3) try to use logic to process old/new info, and at formal operational (4) we begin to think abstractly. I think by 4. your brain feels like it's figured everything out already and isn't operating quite like it was in stage 3. So you can begin to think logically after around age 6,7, at stage 3, but aren't as hung up about it by age 12+ at stage 4 (the final stage we hopefully all make it to). Stage 3 is where you get the kids that ask "Why?" over and over again. (when they're not trying to be annoying lol)

"Does everyone have a particular pace in development?" yes, each and everyone of us has our own pace in development since we all have different and unique experiences. Our environment and the people surrounding us when developing ourselves are different but similar at the same time since we're all taught somewhat similar things as we age like etiquette and proper manners, but even with this common knowledges taught to them, every child has their own unique pace and views in everything.

Learning takeaways: Balancing a child's awareness during their learning process is one great aspect to reach different milestones as they take step by step their growth and development. The different activities they overgo as they grow allows them to become more curious and eager to know more about their environment. Does everyone have a particular pace in development? Watching this video, I learned the various way a child can acquire their cognitiveness through activities they do. As a future educator, they mostly rely on our creativity and what we can do for them; how we can guide their path and have enough patience to understand how long they acquire something. Therefore, we must plant it in our minds that these mentioned stages offers unique ways of operating in each and every one of us, and that we all enter these stages as we completely develop our cognitivity and knowledge. "Does everyone have a particular pace in development?" Yes. I believe that everyone does have a specific pace in development, whether it may be deliberate or swift. Experts may generalize a human's growth -- the cognitive development through dividing stages, but their classifications does not necessarily reflect every single individual as these clusters fall in the theory lane. This means that their concept holds an efficient consistency that mirrors most people's development. Personal development may take place over the path of an individual's entire lifespan and it is truly not limited to a single stage of a person's life. It occurs overtime, until the person reaches the finish line. Some medical reports states that other individuals experience development delays in speech, or social, or physical development which are also referred to as "late bloomers". This include individuals who had undergone late-onset growth or those who have disability such as dyslexia or ADHD. Moreover, late bloomers' talents and capabilities are not discernible to others until later than usual. We humans are all born differently beautiful, and at the end of the day, "life is not a race but a journey to be savored each step of the way".

Every child grows and develops differently, doing things at their own pace. Children generally reach certain milestones in their life at roughly the same time, so we've got several pages that describe each of the major age milestones, and what usually happens at that time.

As a pediatrician, I have the very greatest respect for Paiget. For me, his work describes how consciousness matures and develops in us all. And, since I am convinced divine consciousness is the root of all being, that development is an intentional gift from God. We were meant to share this blossoming.

Paediatrics require a medical degree. Medicine is science. Science and religion offer two different positions to explain the physical world. This doesn’t mean that a person cannot be a MD and also be religious, it’s just a complicated belief system.

As far as I'm concerned, every human being has their own particular pace in terms of development, and I believe it varies from one person to another. It is indeed true that everyone was born to be unique; thus, it is just usual to see people developing in different paces. At times, we can encounter someone we think is old enough but is still acting childishly. This type of person could be an example of someone who has a different pace and is more delayed than others. On the other hand, we can also encounter people, especially young individuals, who have developed much quicker than others of the same age. Therefore, I would say that everyone has a particular pace in development and everyone has their own and different speed in terms of developing.

Yes, because we learn differently by age when time goes by our brain, emotions and the way we think things will improve base on our experiences when we were a child. Aristotle once said that children are a blank slate, they'll learn and be filled with knowledge with the things they've experience and learn from the parent's teaching

"Does everyone have a particular pace in development? Explain." Yes, everyone has their own pace of growing up especially in terms of development. Whether a child, adolescence, or adulthood, everyone has their own developmental milestones. Technically, not everyone with the same age matures as their age progresses simply because environment, experiences, and perspective vary. You cannot simply tell a child to develop as he or she grows up simply because it takes time or they have their own paces of development whether it's fast or slow.
