100 dollars for a pair of shorts is one of the issues in the world . Stop over charging

No one is forced to buy their products. Stop crying about things that are outside of your control. There are people who spent over $200,000 for over-hyped Tesla cars with unsafe A.I. systems; are you going to cry about that too even though no one is forcing you to buy a Tesla?

I'm not overcharging. You are paying for quality plus it is more expensive for a small emerging Company to source materials products labor etc. Again did I mention quality?

They have pills to pay to. And she said it is 48$. How do you think those shorts get there? There's manufacturing costs, fixed costs, variable costs. Nothing is cheap wnd that $100 does not go along way.

He literally said he had a conflict of interest. You don’t want to cannibalize your other businesses
@whathuh6965
@whathuh6965 4 ай бұрын
@@caleb5568 You obviously don't own any businesses do you? Let's take an example of a well situated brand: "Kellogs" own: Raisin Brand, Frosted Flakes, and Rice Crispies correct? Now Although they're different "brands", guess what they all have in common? Answer: They have the exact same owner and they're all cereal products. Damon: Comparison: He's famously known to own "Fubu" but also owns "Crown Holder", "Kappa USA", "Heatherette" and "Coogi". Again, all different "brands" but the same owner. Therefore, there is no "Conflict of Interest" between these brands because it's the same exact owner. (It's about monopoly) Damon simply could've owned part of her company through equity and leverage his name and social status to catapult sells through the atmosphere [easily]. But he simply passed and gave conflict of interest as a way to mask the fact that he simply wasn't interested. (You must learn how to read the room my friend).

@@anovosedlik For both of you non-business owners yapping in the comments so aggressively, and who has failed to read the room @caleb5568, I think it's time to open your closed-minds: Let's use "Kellogs" for [Example: 1.] It owns "Frosted Flakes", "Raisin Bran", "Rice Crispies" etc, but what do these brands have in common? Ans. (They're all cereal brands owned by the same corporation/owner right? ). [Example 2.] Damon is widely famed for owning "Fubu" but he also owns "Coogi", "Kappa USA", "Crown Holder" etc, but what do these brands have in common? (They're all apparel brands owned by the same owner/corporation right? ). Therefore, him investing would've simply made him an equity owner of yet another apparel company where he'd leverage his name and success to catapult her brand to millions with reasonable ease. Nonetheless, His "Conflict of Interest" statement was merely a way of him nicely saying "I'm not interested in your clothing brand because I don't like it". Learn how to read the room instead of blindly watching the room.

Dont you just ignore like 80% of the market?
@valoredramack9117
@valoredramack9117 4 ай бұрын
How exactly is she ignoring 80% of the market when the reason why this works in the first place is because she is targeting a niche market that other businesses have ignored? One of the first rules of business is to start with a MVP (Minimum Viable Product), it would be a mistake for her to target every type of college on the market instead of focusing on what already works. It is an HBCU specific product and she is focusing on the HBCU marketplace, this obviously would not sell on Ivy League campuses because those are not HBCUs and they have a different campus culture.

It's not 'for black people'. She caters to HBCUs. You can be white and go to an HBCU. There was a story recently of a white guy becoming the president of the students or something to that effect recently. Would you say that about clothing stores for women? 'Oh, they're sexist against men cuz they only have clothes for women!'...you'd sound like a f*cking idiot. But you already achieved that so congrats.
