The fun, entertaining and highly creative “Cooking with Lynja” videos started garnering attention during the pandemic in 2020. She amassed a following of 17 million on TikTok alone. Davis, who was born in New York City and lived in Holmdel, NJ, graduated from MIT and Columbia University. Davis passed away from esophageal cancer, her daughter told The New York Times. Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps shares more about her life.

i agree but the cancer thing is incorrect, it’s a bodily malfunction which means that when its goal (killing the host) is achieved, there’s not much it can do. The cancer won. All condolences to her family, and the internet. I’m shocked this happened.

I’ll went back in tik tok to her most recent cancer update and saw a comment that made me cry because it showed so much strength and love. The comment said “NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT” to which Linja responded “NEVER GIVE UP 💪!” I wish you guys the best in this time of loss. She out of all people is someone who should be able to live forever because of the joy they give others. To Lynja, you helped me through my hard times of anxiety by showing me videos that made me laugh and gave me relief on the darkest days. I really hope you feel no more pain but I wish that you could have stayed with us. LIVE YOU LYNJA!! Also, to her son, I hope you feel love in this time of loss and know that she loved you more than anything. You were her world. My deepest condolences!

I remember the first time I saw her videos and thought her voice sounded weird but as I got recommended more of her videos her voice started to grow on me and I couldn’t get enough of her videos. Watching these videos, I can’t help but smile. She was so filled with joy and positivity. Every time a video of her’s popped up, I immediately became 10% happier. Seeing all these photos and memories truly make me happy. Someone like her is the good in life. Fly high Lynja 🕊️🤍
