100%, and when it comes to being a Spy revealing any personal details could be very dangerous yet he has no problems telling Yor. Even if he doesn't have feelings for her yet, that breach of opsec shows that Loid thinks Yor is a totally normal (besides her strength) civilian woman. In this episode and episode 1 we see Loid sleep next to both Anya and Yor, commenting that he "can't believe he let his guard down" afterwards - this demonstrates that Loid is truly comfortable being around those two.

Loid gave us a genuine response for about 0.1 second: He correctly deduced that there was more to Yors behaviour than simply being afraid of loosing her "cover/camouflage" and that she indeed feels jealous because she has romantic feelings for him. His response to this was the "Wait...what!?" that we saw, then he panicked, went into Twilight-mode (never do that with Yor) and the whole situation blew up gloriously in his face.

The benefit for Loid would be the fact that he would no longer have to worry about Yor accidently letting it slipped that their marriage is based on false pretenses. Which while true, its still Twilight being off his game since Yor has been keeping her slip ups to a minimum regarding that tidbit, and it would only make exiting the mission harder

@@relic5752 true but that benefits Yor moreso than Twilight, no? Yor’s insecurities stem from having to play her roles up to societal standards In public yet not fulfilling them in private because it’s all under false pretenses. She hasn’t necessarily slipped about their fake family-sure she catches her words but she’s been doing okay.

Personally I just think he panicked and defaulted to spy mode.

@@TheLightbane I agree he panicked, but his "spy mode" here is not rational at all. I don't think he's in love with Yor for now but it's interesting that something as simple as the thought of her having feelings for him made mr. greatest spy panick and act dumb.

He was expecting that from a long time, kinda like he wanted a little action yeah lol

I disagree partially, it's also that Loid is holding back on being honest and genuine in his compliments and affirmation (partially because he's a spy) that Yor is a good fit, which is why, when they had the talk in the bar, Yor was happy that Loid likes the kind of person Yor is. Before this, they didn't have many talks about why Yor is actually useful in the Forger family.

They had this talk over and over in episode 7, 9,21,24 not to mention Loid defended her every time someone tried to bad mouth her or make her feel small in the party, the interview and even when Fiona visited. Even before the match between her and Fiona started he literally told her he won thanks to her. He already validated her before her match with Fiona. He already sees her as amazing regardless of the result of this match. She got the better complement before that match which is so great of Loid. She didn’t even need to win the stupid thing with Fiona, yet she’s so caught up in her own self sabotage nothing is enough. I am talking from experience here. The way she’s feeling is all on her now. Loid did everything he could and more. It’s not fair to expect so much from him all the time. She expect that without even communicating what’s bothering her. This man is working 24/7 and she knows that. He’s there for her yet it’s still not enough. She needs to communicate. She needs to rationalize her inner feelings. Only her can do that. It bothers me that everyone is blaming Loid when he’s doing everything he can for her. He can barely stand on his feet yet everyone around him just keeps wanting more from him. He’s only human. Even Yor is “playing a role”. She’s the one who asked for the “fake marriage” first. She keeps telling herself it’s to keep killing just like Loid tells himself it’s just for the mission. We know they both started to have feelings for each other and they both care a lot about Anya and each other. My problem is just with fans/reactors blaming Loid for Yor’s own insecurities when he has done nothing but be extremely nice, supportive and completely devoted to doing everything she can’t without pressuring her or asking her for more. Yet even when he’s bone tired and can barely stand reactors and fans blame him for something that isn’t his fault.

@@kindabatooni9314 yeah I don't understand what people expect or want from loid. He's literally doing as much as he can without physical gestures because they aren't really in a relationship. Unlike Anya he can't read her mind and he still does a great job of reading her

@@CodeeXD Fans like to pretend Yor is the victim or something here when she’s clearly not. Just because she feels sorry for herself all the time doesn’t mean it’s Anya’s or Loid’s fault. It’s her own fault for self sabotaging despite all support she gets from everyone she cares about. Yuri and Loid are both very supportive and loving towards her and never puts her down or ask her for more. It seems Yor is the one who doesn’t like herself which is why she self sabotage. She’s the one who needs to step up her game and accept herself because Loid has already accepted her good and bad.

@@kindabatooni9314 right and like they showed in this episode it actually causes problems for loid. Because she was depressed and hard on herself their neighbors assume loid is cheating when he's expressly told her their appearance as a happy family is top priority

Loid telling Yor about his past shows a difference between how he treats Yor and other women he's been with for the sake of a mission I think. While I could be wrong, I find it hard to believe that loid has ever shared any personal details with anybody. He saw how Yor was feeling and decided to encourage her by sharing something personal. I would think that goes against spy doctrine. He could have also left Anya when she was kidnapped way back, but he didn't. The most efficient thing for him would have been to get another child and not expose himself to danger uncessarily.

Don't worry, next season is Yor's season.

There is a reason why Yor is on the back burner at the moment so it’s going to need some patience but Endo hasn’t forgotten about her. Season 2 will be fun with Yor so hopefully you look forward to that!
