"Spyder" headlights, talk/review

Just a quick video on the spyder headlights, these are the black + smoked square projector headlights.Pros & Cons.

Theres a screw on the back to adjust the height of the beam.

Our Ford Edge factory led headlights also drop on the driver side. It’s by design to keep from blinding oncoming traffic while maximizing the available light along the roadside where it won’t affect oncoming cars.

Is your led strip truly drl? I bought the same look in a off brand and don’t come on during the day. Great view vid!

Did you try replacing the turn signals light bulbs with switchbacks from Diode Dynamics??

No problem :) yah they've been good seems the dull spot that i have seems to come and go now adays. More so when its very cold

Have you tried changing out the low beam bulbs on your spyder headlights? & if so which ones do you recommend ?

I havnt but one of the guys i spoke to about doing it used this set. See link below. He had to trim a little bit of the bulb housing but he got it to fit

Forget the lights. What tire/wheel/ lift combo are u running? Setup is fire

This truck was set up on the bilstein 5100 adjustable lift set at 2" The wheels were helo he904, 18x9 0 offset. tires are general grabber apt 265/65/18. For reference my new truck is on the eibach pro-truck kit, set at 2.7" 18x8.5 silverado trailboss wheels (-12 offset) because of the spacer adapter. 265/70/18. Both setups required some trimming.

I’m trying to switch the headlight bulbs on mines to LED bulbs. Any idea to where to find them?

Two questions, by plug and play, you still need to remove the bumper/grill, right? Also, what's up with those foglights?

Yah the whole bumper needs to be taken off, but the wiring its self is plug and play, no splicing of wires required. Those are just fog light covers. Its a WT package it didnt come with fogs. My new truck did though lol

Are your DRL naturally running in the day when the car is on without messing with your light settings, or do you have to tweak your light settings for them to be on 24/7

Unfortunately (sorta) if you want the DRL to be on during the day without the driving lights being on you'll need to buy an additional harness, Geny5diy makes a harness so you can run just the DRL strip by its self. Of course you can run the DRL light with the low beam on during the day just by changing the dial on your truck to be using the running lights.

Where did you find those pop up lights coming from your dash?

The pod lights ? these are just a cheap pair i got from amazon, how ever the mount are from CBI fabrications. They bolt onto the hood using the stock hardware.

Are you sure these are the smoked lens? I’m trying to decide between the smoked or clear lens...

@@TheForestfire111 depends, do you have a dark color or light color truck ? generally speaking i think they arnt that dark. the smoked housing isn't as dark as videos and photos make it seem. the more annoying part is swapping in LEDs lol

I wonder if it's only you who has that problem about the lights not being parallel. Kinda of changing my mind on getting these headlights now..

Unfortunatly not :( they seem to do it for everyone, you can however trim the bottom of the bulb to rotate it to match the passanger side more evenly

@@alanpena9399 sadly all the lighting options are kinda bad unless you get led. I think the anzos look nice, lumens got a cool pair but neither look as aggressive and angular as the "spyders" even with re adjusting they dont sit dead level. At least from what i've seen

Mine is level perfectly by adjusting it there’s 2 adjustment screws and some and 4
