I owned an Endura through my last two years of high school . It was fully serrated and a great work horse . I was working for my Dad as an HV\AC installer and I used it to cut everything . My brother came home from the navy with a Delica and I just had to have one . That was 1996 . So yeah Spyderco is still one of my favorite brands and I carry one every day .

Hello, I'm thinking about buying the VG10 endura 4 and i saw the CIVIVI Asticus Damascus knife and now I'm torn between the two, any recommendations? I'm mostly using them for daily stuff nothing extreme

Ah, the one that got away 😥 I saw this on C.S about 2 months ago and passed. I have an Endela pakkawood hap40 and it’s a safe queen. And a bunch of Endura’s, s30v,20cv and K390 and love them. Good video 👍🏻

Idk why I feel I wanna comment. Lol. I own a PM3 maxamet bc of you. Love it. I have to baby it around my lifestyle (chef, Michigan life blah blah blah). I have an Endura Teal in s30 that I love. I beat the shit out of it. I love the difference between the knives. Endura is the outdoor, shit weather knife. Maxamet PM3 is the excessive box opener that I love. That’s it. Thanks for your content lol.

The Endura might be a bit dated in it's design, but it's still a really good knife. Spyderco calls these splotchy FRN handles Zome. "Zome (pronounced "zoh-may") is a class of Japanese handicrafts that focuses on dyeing textiles. This ancient art form includes many different methods of creating patterns on cloth using dyes derived from plants, flowers, fruit, and other natural sources and is closely related to many aspects of Japanese history and culture."

I have both the Byrd Cara and Meadowlark, and even with much cheaper plastic, their ergos beat the Endura and Delica respectively. And it is all about the finger choil.

What would be really cool if Spyderco decided instead of the plain old bland flat handle scales sandwiching a blade if they made more contoured handle scales. Kind of like Cold steel has done on some of their voyager models. Just a little roundness is all and I bet it would be very popular. Especially in the flagship affordable blades like the Delica the Endura and the Dragonfly...I can not believe you don't own an Endura!! the Endura is one of the best EDC knives in the world you knife snob!! jk...but it is a great knife. That is why I have two.

I literally bought a flat ground ZDP-189 Endura the day before they announced the K390 version... oh well... 2 endura's are better than 1... the ZDP-189 has been extremely impressive, lots of edge retension and it takes the most amazing finish, far better than S30V or S35VN or 20CV, which comprises 90% of my knives.

@@WRS_WatchReviews both whetstones and a kme fixed angle system, I'm not super good yet with a whetstone but I use diamond whetstones from venev, and poltava, and practical sharpening and for my kme I use cbn metallic bonded stones from poltava

Although you don't 100% need diamonds or cbn you could use something like silicone carbide stones from like gritomatic or even ceramic whetstones but diamonds and cbn do work best and cut the carbides the fastest and more effective and efficient but the silicone carbide and ceramic can get k390 and other high hardness and carbide steels sharp to
