Cool comparo ATK. really wish they would dump the lanyard hole and crumby clip placement on the g-10 models and switch to wire clip of the light weight. I know its been said a million times but Spyderco is all about CQI and that would definately be a big old improvement in my opinion.

Great video, thanks. Like both knives. Two each their own when they choose what EDC works best. I think it was a good critique of the 2 knives. I own the Spyderco Para 3 light weight with spy27 steel. I paid $120.00 plus tax and free shipping on black Friday sale. I EDC SAK'S and a lot of keys, flashlight, wallet, and more so the light weight helps out. I like the bidirectional grip with plastic scales. I do not care as much for fit and finish, then the cost and weight. Durability is not enough to make a difference in a small knife, in my opinion. Considering pros and cons, I am happy with my choice between the two. Will sooner or lady have both and then EDC what works best. Love all knives.

Any issues with the detent on the lightweight model? I sold one a few years ago because the detent was so light it felt like it would open in the pocket.

Is the shape of the blades identical? I'm wondering if we can swap the blades between para3 and para3 light. I'm interested in Magnacut blade from the lightweight salt in regular para3.

Someone should do a durability test between the two to figure out the failure points of both knives. I almost think the LW would hold up to what a normal human can throw at it, but who knows. Maybe someone with enough Patreon funds has the balls to destroy 2 perfectly good knives for the data.

The best one can get the production lightweight in is SPY27. So if you miss the sprint runs you’re screwed. The para 3 on the the other hand…

Have lots of lightweight exclusives and sprints, they will mostly all end up blade swapped.
