Haha, same here. Bought my first Endura lightweight about 7-8 years ago after watching the Nutn review as my introduction into the nicer folding knife world. Prior to that all I had was maybe a swiss army knife or cheap Kershaw, and I wasn't carrying them regularly. That Endura has been one of my primary EDCs for the most part until I got a hold of the Endura Wave about 2 years ago. After all these years, I still almost always end up gravitating to an Endura or Para-military 2 as my EDC, and I've purchased a ton of other knives from Spyderco, BM, and KAI/ZT.

For a tactical blade wouldnt a top guard be more practical like on a pm2? And is the lack of top guard better for edc?

Only things that bother me about the Manix 2: too long for my EDC uses and the ball-bearing lock gets hard to use if your hands are wet.

I love mine. Take the blade shape of a manix 2, the compression lock of a para 2 and a hand filling set of g-10 handle. I went with the dlc coated plain edge.

Great knife review as always. I can't get enough spyderco knives, by far my favorite maker. My only complaint with basically all spyderco folders is the pocket clips are not deep enough. I would prefer a sog style loop deep carry clip.... not a deal breaker. I carry a manix every day and love it. Or a tenacious. Or a stretch.

I instantly thought manix 2 when I saw that knife, and then one came out. Just to remind everyone the manix 2LW got an 11/10 and only costs $70-$80. I bought one the day I saw your video (and as you suggested my wife was pissed i bought another blade) and I haven’t carried a different knife yet. The shaman looks cook and options are always good, but I’ll keep my manix.

Damn you. You made me buy 2 spiderco blades last week since i finally broke my spiderco edc of 3 years. Got my first manix and it's just too light. Feels like there isn't much too It. Hey Nutn! You should check out the Kizer roach. Its pretty similar but with better design imo. Its only $80 too. The only drawback is I think its about 1.5 ounces heavier. For me its the perfect bend of edc/tactical knife blend.

There are a lot of things I like about many of the knives in Kizer's lineup. The weight, however, usually gives me pause. Why so chunky Kizer? Time to go on a diet.

@@sonofliberty78 I didn't ever snag one unfortunately. But I've handled a couple and I like them. But I picked up a second hand sebenza for cheap about a year ago and I dont think its left my pocket for more than a day or two at a time so I slowed way down on buying folders.

@@FlintandSteelSurvival Ah. I don’t blame ya, if ya have a Sebenza. Still, I recommend picking up a Shaman in a better steel, whenever the next good exclusive/sprint run drops. It’ll almost certainly be a better value than a ~$230 S30V version.

I got this knife for Christmas from my son ,it is a beauty the hand feel is great it's heavy duty for sure , I'm also a Manix 2 fan of the two I like the Manix 2 better I just like the way the Manix and Manix X L feel in my hand better I also like the ball bearing lick better .

Is it that much harder, or more expensive, for a company to make their knives a truly deep carry? It seems to me that having a typical carry clip is just not as convenient. Is it really that difficult?
