Awesome review! Was really considering picking up this knife which is available at Cutleryshoppe again in the black DLC blade, but I already have a Spyderco Canis which has a slightly thicker blade tip. I'm still deciding, lol. Thanks for sharing brother!

Love that Wharncliffe blade on the PM2! If I could choose between the two different shapes (Wharncliffe or Tanto) I would choose the Tanto in this particular case, not always. But on the PM2 I think the Tanto looks insanely cool! I appreciate the way you graphically explain the difference in how each blade shape cuts. I can really visualize it in my mind and it makes sense! Most people just say this is better or that is better and barely give a reason why. But yeah I got some good info from this video Jared thanks 👍

👊, the one issue I had with the tanto was its thick, so just know that which can be good for certain things and bad for others

I love my PM2 wharncliffe. I’ve used it to cut leather for leatherwork. It’s great for straight or curved/tracing cutting. I wouldn’t want to use my regular PM2 blade for this task. You are correct that the tip does most of the work/cutting. I’ve used utility blades or xacto blades in the past. However they offer too much blade flex. The wharncliffe is thicker and more confident in its cutting. (Utility and xacto blades are technically wharncliffe’s as well. -just way thinner).

Nice comparison on the standard and Wharncliffe. Sharp dressed knives makes a tool for the lanyard tube but they are $25. I don't have a problem taking them apart now. I use a very small straight slot screwdriver and slowly rock the scales back and forth to create a small gap for the screwdriver. Then slowly wedge around the lanyard with a little leverage and they come out no problem. Thing is, just have to go slow and take your time. I replace mine with a titanium plug or lanyard tube that is anodized the color I want. I don't damage the old ones so if I want to sell the knife, I can return it to original state. The titanium plugs are the way to go. Adds a little color and looks better than the tube. Thanks for the review Jared!

I kinda like the wharncliffe shape of this one, true there’s really nothing you can do with this one that a pm2 at a stretch can’t do, maybe it’s the overall shape that got me and to be honest I wouldn’t mind having one myself 👍 thanks for the review Jared ✌️😄

Im the same way and sometimes i like having the blade shape specific to the task im doing, but its a very useful shape for edc

Man I tell you what, it sure is worth $170 to get the xhp wharnie pm2 from TCS in fact I loved it so much I got one of each the coated and non coated blade and WOWWW I am absolutely in love with these blades!

@@NeevesKnives BM did an awesome job on the modified sheepsfoot Griptilian. I'm honestly surprised Spyderco never made that knife. I'd love to a Spyderco with that blade shape with a comp lock.

There's plenty to love about a wharncliffe, but something about a wharncliffe over give or take 3 inches just seems weird to me. I do enjoy the Delica 4 wharncliffe. Just wish I could find one not made of plastic. Also, I always considered Spyderco the master of the low tip. What other company consistently makes a blade shape with a tip as low as many of Spyderco's leaf shape orientations?

@@MetalRush666 I have the fixed blade variant and it's no utility blade, but I do like it enough that my consideration for this type of blade would send me to the Yo2 over the Para2 wharnie.

Yeah thats true not many and i love my tips low with little belly, on paper it could be my favorite most useful blade shape

@Marcquise White I haven't bought it yet, but another channel turned me into it, yet again, today. My thing with something that small and something as big as a wharnie PM2 is that I need accuracy and dexterity as I use my example Delica 4 wharnie in my warehouse job. Good suggestion, though. I'm sure I'll weaken myself enough to get one soon. Titaniummmmmmm!
