Nice set up. With the high placed steering arm no need for a drop pitman off the box I assume. Another proper way to eliminate bump steer.

c'est un très bon système, mais il a un défaut c'est que tu dois sortir du camion pour verrouiller tes hub. Je suis transporteur et je roule beaucoup en hiver au Canada, j'ai un dually ram 2017 et quand je suis surpris par l'adhérence je peux activé mon 4x4 immédiatement et rétablir ma trajectoire avec ma remorque de 35.000 lbs. Tu me diras que je devrais activé mes hubs avant de partir ! ben oui et non, le dually est dur sur la direction a cause de la rotation des roues arrière extérieur qui tourne plus vite que les intérieur lorsque tu prends des virages , donc tu réduis ta vitesse et ensuite tu désengage ton 4x4. avec ce système c'est pas possible. ( je commencerais pas a sortir du camion avant le virage, engager les hub, remonter dans le truck, passer le virage, ressortir du truck pour désengagé etc...🤣 blague a part) En été ici au canada tu as des routes avec une route creusé par le passage des camions et lorsqu'il pleut cela se remplis d'eau et tu fais de l'aquaplanage , cela m'a surpris plus d'une fois et j'ai failli sortir de la route car j'ai juste eu le temps de passer en 4x4 et j'ai corrigé la trajectoire. Et rouler avec ces hub avec lock manuel engagé en été ce serait pas top vu l'investissement, vu que je me retrouve avec les même fonction et usure qu'avec les hub d'origine. oui c'est efficace pour évité que le différentiel avant tourne pour rien et s'use pour rien. mais ca demande quand même de l'entretien sur les 200.000 km que je fais par année. il aurait fallu le même système que sur mon autre camion qui est un Ford dually F450 qui lui a un système de vacuum qui te permette activé ou de désactivé depuis la cabine. donc il y a avantage et inconvénients. a réfléchir

When using the factory style brake setup on an 05+ Super Duty axle, are you having to use any spacers to get the rotors and caliper bracket to align correctly? I’m finishing up my Spyntec install and the caliper bracket is touching the rotor.

You’ll have to ask them, we only use the 99-04 kit. No spacers

Just wondering on the steering arm. My drag link was rubbing on the top of passenger side leaf spring When I originally installed the kit. We fixed it with a spacer you sent me. Why did my drag link not clear the spring originally? Yet some clear without using the spacer. 06 5.4 RB 6” kit. Everything works great now with the spacer.just wondering what would cause this issue. Thanks Chris.

Our previous spring builder would add a small spacer leaf to the bottom of the pack, that’s what caused the clearance issue. Even after we brought it up and asked them not too, they still did it from time to time.

How's the bleed process for the SSBC calipers?

Not bad, just a bit longer of a process since there are 4 bleeders

Can you give a basic explanation as to why you would want these hubs over stock? What do they buy you? By their looks I assume their main purpose is to make wider rims possible? Not sure.

There are a few benefits. Serviceable wheel bearings are always more reliable than unit bearings, 35 spline stub shafts are stronger, can be made 8 on 170mm or 8 on 6.5 and we can run the correct ABS sensor to make the RSC and ABS happy if the van is equipped. It doesn't change the width of the axle as far as the wheels are concerned (same WMS to WMS)

@@ujointoffroad Ah, all makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. Another quick question: is there any reason to avoid the 460 in a 96 E350? Especially in comparison to the 5.4 or V10? (Or in any of the years that has 460s that you still do conversion on? Reason I ask is because I see quite a few good deals for mid 90s 460 E series vans and RVs compared to later engines in an otherwise very similar chassis.

@@drott150 Nothing wrong with the 460, we stopped on the older rigs mainly due to the transmissions and sourcing parts for them.
