For the people who still have this problem. I had the same, i was missing 10 gems and it pointed to the big tiki head. I died in front of it and when i respawned my last gem was there.

Lol I despise both Spyro 2 and 3 for that. I loath going back to levels I completed just because they want you to unlock something later

Definitely haha ! I miss their old voices.. When walking up to them in the home world when his portal is still out, i find myself saying " im laaaattee for a dinner party at the tiki lodge " in that really weird, fucked up voice they used to have. I miss it hahaha lmaoo :p

it took me a few tries, run along the edges until you get close enough and shoot fire at the first guy. the second guy the running will do it all.

I couldn't get the super-charged one as well, until I managed to glitch him outside the track and easily burned him then.

I have the same issue it’s a pain in the ass.

It’s a glitch. I looked up what to do and activision is basically saying to clear the cache or do a software reset. But I don’t want to do that because I’ve completed Spyro 1 and 2 at 100 percent. It’s very annoying. Apparently sgt. Byrd’s charmed ridge level is glitched too for some people.

Unlock Sgt. Byrd. Simple.

@@TheGingiGamer yeah I figured it out just kept playing and unlocking everything I could see an what not lol i was kinda hoping they would change the game a little bit instead of just upgraded the look of it but still fun to play lol

Shoshitake Takeyani yeah I looked it up. Apparently a lot of people have had problems with it. It’s a glitch apparently. You have to complete the sgt Byrd level. Which I did and it’s still locked. Apparently some people had the same problem with sgt Byrd’s mission in charmed ridge too.

You need to finish Sgt. Byrd's Base level in Midday Gardens World first, then you can go back to Molten Crater and get it done.

I struggled with it too but this video helped because I found by trying to cut corners where I can helped. It was still difficult but I found that I was able to do it by trying to go as straight as possible instead of following the arrows exactly. Anyway hope this helps. I realise that you commented a month ago so you might not need this answer anymore but it's there if you do.

@@EchotheLombax 100% isn't required to open the portal. You have to take the balloon to other world, defeat the frog boss and free the Sgt.

Forget that I think you go into midday gardens after Buzz boss. He’s in with money bags in the big round area in the map

Yeah you have to go in the whirligig/ balloon to the next world, which will.make you do a boss fight before getting to the next new homeworld and Sgt byrd will be held by moneybags and u can free him for some gems, then you have to do his home base before you can go back to Molten crater. And next you need to unlock bentley in evening lake before you can complete the levels that need him in the previous world. Just like in the final world you can free Agent 9 and complete Agent 9s lab, in order to go back to the previous home world to complete missions you need Agent 9 for, like fireworks factory. So in every home world youll need to free someone in order to do their missions, then you can travel back to the worlds and levels that need them.
